Anybody using a Rifle type stock for the 150-600mm lenses. Looking for suggestions and recommendations.

As a friend of mine pointed out, that's not a great idea. All it'd take is a call from a concerned citizen and an edgy police department to get yourself killed.

Yea, YEARS ago they were very popular, but the way society has become, I don't think it would be a good idea now for most places.

Cool, never used a stock type before but had always wanted one years ago when I shot slr's.
Nowadays I use a simple homemade handle screwed into the foot. I think a stock, kinda like a gimbel would make your movements and versatility much more limited.
For a smaller lens like you mentioned I think a handle would probably work better and add much less overall weight.
When I get home tonight I'll post a pic of my homemade handle. There are commercially made handles that are only in the 10-15 dollar range. ;-)

Here is my homemade handle. It fits all of my lenses that have a tripod foot. I use it mostly on my 200mm and I've used it up to 8 hrs. a day and taken over 2000 shots in that time. Yeah, after a long day I'm pretty tired but it makes a lens like this pretty manageable.
It's just the end of an old broken shovel handle with a hanger bolt screwed into it. What I like is that it absorbs sweat and water and never gets slippery even when wet like plastic or metal might. :-)

I follow flying birds, I usually just hand hold because my birds are unpredictable in flight. Saw some guys with rifle stocks, seamed as though they had trouble tracking birds diving low and then going back up.

I was never a fan of the stock. Monopod, tripod, the hood of my car...but stocks never seemed to do the trick, for me.

:?: Rather an odd looking shoulder stock!!
Bush hawk makes one I used it but was uncomfortable with the 500 Nikon on it. They look like aluminum in the pictures but in reality are a composite material.
I used one years ago and when using it I got all these strange looks - and at a distance it was hard for people to see that it was a camera. I would never attempt to use it in today's environment. It worked for me but I would not risk the chaos it would cause.
