I took my monopod, dslr, 17-50, speed light and 70-200. I found that I used the monopod for night shots when you pull into port. I had to use faster shuter speeds at some point when trying to stabilize my sea legs. It took about a day. I kept my gear back at stateroom and switched out gear that way. Our cruiser had 13 decks and I used the elevator for gear switching. I did take my 70-200 when on the beach at CoCo Cay and the shots were spectacular.

Beautiful subject and nice overal tone of image. I would steer clear of selective color... It's passé.

I've been using Dropbox for a couple years now. It's free but you're limited in storage. You gain more storage as people you share with download the program on their device. I've built up about 4 gig already and have folders that are shared with certain parts of my huge family.

Only drawback is that some users you share with inadvertently delete the image rather than copy it. But there is a restore feature and the program will tell you which person did it. My family has trouble navigating around the site and they aren't all tech savvy, so some use the photos and others complain that they still want me to take the time to rip CDs and snail mail.

I just bought the 6D with the 24-70 f/4L after a thorough research on its iq vs the 24-105. I really like this lens for the macro capability on the fly. It's said to be equivalent to 80mm and it's .7x magnification. I don't have a dedicated macro but get frustrated using my ext tubes. So the macro coupled with the iq test results of this lens were the deal breaker for me. I already own the 70-200 f4, so I've got no overlap issue. Remember, the 24-105 is really an old lens designed years ago. The newer lenses have so much better technology built in them. Keep the 24-70.

I just traded in my 60D and Sigma 2.8 combo in favor of purchasing a 6D and L lens combo thru Amazon. You determine the condition of the equipment and you can view how much you could realize from the the condition you stated. I would've loved to keep my 60D but needed the extra $500 towards a $3k purchase.

I was introduced to BBF when I owned my 60D. I customized my camera buttons so that my shutter was used for AE lock and shutter activation. My AF ON button activated BBF AND AF start. I always lock my exposure now and have gotten used to the method. I especially like it for sports and changing to alservo mode. I just hold down the BBF (AF ON) and follow the subject and click away.

I can tell you I have more keepers with this method and I've just bought the Canon 6D and have customized its buttons as we'll.

If I get WB and exposure right in camera it takes about 30 seconds to tweak clarity and tonal curve. If the WB is off I can spend 10 minutes tweaking skin tones on one image.

Then there're times that I have a certain vision for which way I'd like the image to go. I spend 10 minutes or more on that one image. I'm quite picky and always zoom in at 100% to analyze which way I will go with it. I've found myself getting frustrated with editing and need to walk away and come back to it later too. PP is an art that takes time to perfect. That justifies my time spent doing it.

I just sold my 60d in favor of FF, and I just loved it for shooting action. I didn't shoot video much because it didn't have the constant focus when your subject moved. The 70d has this and from what I'm told, it's awesome. The D bodies are sized Inbetween the rebel and MkD series. Just perfect in my opinion. The 70D has more focus points as we'll. I'd go with the 70D. It's a camera you can grow into.

I've just ordered the 6D and waiting for delivery. I upgraded from a 60D and wanted the higher ISO capability and picture quality. Although others deter us from ordering thru an online retailer, I usually order from Amazon because of their great return policy. They also have a trade in program. I took advantage of that so I had more cash for the total purchase. Your lenses except the 18-135 are EF and will work with the ff camera body. I'd trade in the EF-S lens to get you closer to the 6D price.

Why did I choose the 6D over the mkiii? Price and bulk/ weight. After looking at several reviews, the 6D has nearly matched the mkiii in many areas. Take a look.

I prefer the b&w with bumping the contrast or clarity a bit.

Rpavich, I see that you utilize the Spyder4pro? I just rcvd mine and performed my first full calibration on my MacBook Pro, non retina anti glare monitor. I based it off the calibrated LCD profile, which I believe is the factory default, and the colors across the board are a little punchy and contrasty. Does the spyder also adjust the monitor's contrast? I have to say that I don't care for how "edgy" everything looks. I'm just wondering if the view will be like night and day after one calibrates? Thx in advance.

I own the 60d with the 70-200 f/4L. This combination is not conducive to poor indoor gym/ arena lighting. The 60d is extremely noisy at high ISO but you need the fast shutter speed. Hence, the trade off. I've mounted my 17-50 f2.8 and the fast aperture is fine as long as you are focusing on one athlete up close or several from a good distance.

I would use the 6d with the 24-105 for indoor. It is the perfect range for an indoor track meet or school gym and it's high ISO performance is stellar. I'm saving up for the 6d myself!

What? I can't believe you only accepted $50 for such a great lens! I can't find any for under $300. As far as attitudes on here, there are a few that just have nothing better to do than scrutinize others.

Have a nice holiday!
