Years ago, when I lived on Merritt Island, Florida, there was a rather large spider that made it web between the orange trees in the many groves. It was known as the banana spider. It was black, with a large yellow abdomen about a inch or so long with a banana shape. The webs were so strong when you ran into them it felt like wire. The maker of the web was usually found in the center of the web. I was told that the filaments of old rifle scopes were made of this spiders web.

Jerry, Did you know you can buy run flat tires? You need to check your tire pressure often, or install a pressure senor in each wheel, and radio receiver to keep constant pressure check, and display value on each tire. On any tire a blow out cannot be healed by a can of goo.

Hi Jerry, I'd like to chime in on your post. There is a big difference between a "pressure washer" and a "steam cleaner". The use of a pressure washer should only be to the external area of a car, or truck. The reason is a good bit of high pressure water is used, measured in gallons. A steam cleaner makes its own pressure by expanding the water using heat, which makes the water to steam. The steam is the actual cleaning agent. The pressure washer will fill your car with water. Not good for wiring, electronics, and even seating. You will also have to extract the water by some means, so more expense. The high pressure of the washer can dent, remove paint, and overwhelm window seals, and door seals. (including trunk seals) Steam cleaners usually have a extractor to suck out excess water from the condensed steam.

We've had thunder, lightning, and heavy rain every night for about a week. Last night was a doozy. It started at about 2:00 AM, and at one point, there wasn't even a second between lightning flashes. Although it was sunny a few minutes ago, we now have more thunder, lightning, and torrential rain. It's too bad we can't transport this water to places that need it.

Here in New Hampshire, there is no concealed carry permit at all. There isn't even a course to carry with a test. When I lived in Louisiana, I had to take a course, which included gun safety, legal responsability and actual shooting test on a range. You got a photo ID for concealed carry that was good for 5 years, or until a major law change. When we lived just outside New Orleans, if my wife and I went to the City we put on our watch, ring, and gun. Today, in New Hampshire, I carry my 380 holstered along the side of my center consol in my car. I always carry fully loaded with one in the chamber. My 380 has a thumb safety, and hammer, but it is dual action. I pull the trigger to cock back the hammer, and fire. This came in handy Nov 28, 1980, when I was being robbed in the parking lot on Rampart St. in New Orleans. The robber got 2 in the gut, I got a slash on my throat, from a Rambo knife. The key to a good concealed carry is gun size, and the holster. I use a pocket holster with a flat side, and pressed leather side that hold my Walther PPK 380 snuggly in place in my pocket, but easy to draw. My wife carries a 38 Lady Smith, in a molded waist band holster. She carried every day when she practiced Law, in Louisiana, even in the office. One gun I will never carry, nor suggest to anyone, is a Glock. The safety is on the trigger, one misstep with this arrangement you can shoot yourself in the foot, or draw and extend with a finger on the trigger, it will fire. Don't think you have the time when confronting a armed crook to rack the slide. Once the armed crook sees your gun, he will fire his, or stab you. The newest threat to the common man is "road rage". Locally I had a guy follow me to my destination, block my car with is truck, emerge, threaten me with all sorts of harm and violence, and attempted to enter my car by trying the door handle. I felt by his stature he could physically carry out all his threats, he was will muscled, much younger by 30 years or more. He stated how much he hated old men driving performance cars. The tune changed when he found he was staring down the barrel of my 380, he was about to break my window with his hand. At this point, he checked all the basic boxes for the use of deadly force. Since at the time I was 72 years old, and still on a cane from recent knee surgery. So, a physical confrontation would most likely been to his favor, and my demise.

One of the original street cars from the "Desire" St line was on display at the old New Orleans Mint. It is no longer on display in New Orleans, but was traded to San Fransisco for one of their old cable cars. The Desire car can be ridden in SF on the Warf Line. It is still green, as the old New Orleans, St Charles Line cars are painted. The Desire Line ran into the French Quarter, on Royal St. to Canal St. where all the many lines in New Orleans ended, or began. If traveling to New Orleans, be sure to ride the red cars, on the new lines. One new line runs through the French Quarter, to Canal St, then up Canal to City Park. The newest line is the Superdome, to Canal St. down Rampart St. and ends at Elegian Fields Ave, and returns to Canal St. I lived in New Orleans area, until 2017, and moved to New Hampshire.

Stupid, that. For that price, the Hogs can have it. I've seen those stupid prices also at the market also and just walk on by.
I'm sure it will be blamed on Covid or Bill Gates buying up all the farms!!
Idiots.

If you're in New Orleans, the answer would be " We haven't had prices like that since Katrina."

That’s step 1.

Step 2 is when the sheets on the bed wear out, get the new set out of the closet and revert to step 1.

Remember, when you buy new replacement sheets, buy ones with stripes running head to foot. This helps alignment problems.

Over the many years of technologic gains it seems we have lost a good bit of our edge. Trying to give millions of Americans a injection of the Covid Vaccine, one by one seems a bit antiquated. I remember standing in line with hundreds of sailors getting our vaccinations at the inductions station, when a corpsman placed gun type injector against my arm, and shot the vaccine in my arms. What has happened to this technology? That gun system injected not a 100, but a 1000 or so per hour. We were constantly prodded to move along faster, and not stall the line. With that equipment we could keep the line moving throughout the day, with no delay. Make the paperwork available in advance, and filled out before you arrive at the site. Those who need to fill out the papers, have a desk available, but the line goes on. Pop, Pop, goes the gun, 24-7 until all are vaccinated. I'm sure all Viet Nam Vets remember those guns.

Thanks for the "blunt" reply I'd rather get the blunt information, it is a lot more useful. I assume the Tamaron 150 - 600 will not attach to the 5DIV either? I really like that lens for the reach it offers. Thanks again

Wrong! Your Tamron lenses will fit your new 5D Mark IV. But, as said before, the Canon EF-S lenses will NOT. Keep in mind you will be using a full frame camera, and full frame lenses, and use the crop factor, since there is no crop involved. Also, keep in mind you can use any of the Canon EF L lenses on your 5D MIV. You'll see the difference in your first shot.

Hi, Have you tried to clean the peep hole into the viewfinder? On my 5D MIV I found some fine dust on this will make it seem dim. Or, clean inside the camera prism block or the actual mirror. Depending on your exposure, and speed the image looks good. Just do as suggested check the "store original" block so the "hogs" can see your actual camera settings to be sure.

I'm Sympathetic for your arthritis pain, but you may want ask your rheumatologist for better pain meds. Rather than sell all you equipment for pennies on the dollar. I'm 73, and have arthritis in almost every joint, knees, shoulders, both hips and my left ankle. I just found me a good tripod, or monopod to take the weight of the camera and lenses off my aching bones. I'll be getting a new knee next month, and expect to be more mobile following the surgery. I stopped shooting large wild carnivores, as grizzles, moose, and other fast moving animals, since I know I cannot move fast enough to get out of danger, so I sold all my extra long lenses. But, I kept my birding, and small animal lenses, and still shoot some animals I find in the woods here in New Hampshire. I just don't get to close to porcupines, and leave skunks alone. Imagine the add for a fine Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, with low shutter count, with Canon EF 70-300mm L lens, $50.00, reason for selling, cannot get smell of skunk out of the equipment.
