Depends on what you are cutting. I had a 1.5 hp original equipment on mind, and in cutting thick hardwoods it was a struggle. I upgraded to a 3hp 220volt and have never looked back. Would never go back to the smaller motor the difference is night and day.

Detail is amazing. The first Picture of the Lion you can even clearly see a tick and a fly (download file+).

I have seen the F-4C and the D version take off and about half way down the runway turn and fly (or more accurately rocket) into the sky completely vertically. The engines had that kind of power.

My problem with most doctored or enhanced photos is they don't look real to me. I much prefer the camera view in the download version.Enhanced versions generally look too surreal. Obviously reading the other comments I am in the minority, which is OK, thanks for asking.

During Christmas time 1967 I was in Japan for R&R from Viet Nam. I purchased an 8mm James Bond spy camera with accessories including a right-angle prism extension.
I don’t think people were celebrating Christmas but rather New Year’s. They were dressed in ancient traditional Japanese clothing. Obviously very expensive with much gold threads. Everywhere were families sometimes three or even four generations together.
One such family was standing on a train platform waiting. With prism installed I was attempting to take pictures of them, and all of a sudden, they started laughing hysterically. If looking up from what I was during I realized it appeared I was attempting to take a picture of a trash barrel on the train platform.
I had to chuckle, American tourist, how to impress and influence other cultures.

My wife and I are heading to Cancun on Friday. Not partygoers anymore (mid 70’s), but interested in tours, ruins, etc. Anything specific we shouldn’t miss?

Thanks in advance

Depends on your other interests and physical abilities. We went there is our mid fifties and now in our seventies I would not hesitate to go again. We enjoyed Tulum, snorkeling at Xel Xa, and we also liked the ruins at Coba (make sure you go with a tour guide).

Interesting discussion, however there is a a flaw as I am not aware of any internal combustion engine on the road with an 85% efficiency. Depending on diesel or gasoline they range from 20% to 45%.
