Maasai Mara Safari, Kenya

My wife and I recently got home from a "Big Cats" photographers safari in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. Some excellent sightings, but completely different from the "Great Migration" safari we did in September, 2017. Camera was a Canon Eos R mirrorless, with a Canon EF 100-400 4.5-5.6 L IS II.

Excellent. The third and eighth, especially, could be Nat Geo cover shots.

Wow! They are all great! #8 is very interesting, spotted lion? I don't think I have ever seen that. Is that a local anomaly?

Lion cubs have spotted bellies, these are young lions and still have spots.
