Big difference indeed, #2 is so much better. Great photo editing. You brought so much detail back to the #2 image.

My problem with most doctored or enhanced photos is they don't look real to me. I much prefer the camera view in the download version.Enhanced versions generally look too surreal. Obviously reading the other comments I am in the minority, which is OK, thanks for asking.

I assume this is shot in Raw? That means no matter what you do, you still have an original to go back to. In the end it’s what you like, but I like the original as well as the effect. I’m still a Newbie and learning much. Thank you.

Thanks for commenting Mister H! I've never shot raw yet! I'm happy with my software! I always save my originals as should everyone! As software and cameras improve, you can go back to an old photo and revive it better than before! Much appreciated you stopping by!

What the camera saw is a more accurate representation of what was seen with the photog’s eye. Beyond that it is all a matter of taste. I think a someone more vivid version is eye catching and hence “better”. Since I shoot raw, whenever practical, I capture an Xrite Pasport calibration for each situation to get me to a “accurate” starting point before I dork it up.

My wife and I do lots of jigsaw puzzles (mostly her) and the processed version strongly reminds me of puzzle art. Like most HDR photographs that is not where I would have gone. That, however, is matter of taste.

Like you said, it's all a matter of taste Jack 13088! It's a shame you've never posted one of your masterpieces so we could all see!
