I took this photo a few years ago with my first digital camera, a Pentax Optio 555. This is SOOC JPEG.

Can anyone place it... before I reveal the location?

I guess you didn't see the person reading the paper.

Not my backyard (boy, I wish!) and not Pennsylvania. It was... ... later; I'll take a few more guesses.

No idea about the location, but it is an indoor greenhouse at a museum or similar. Palm trees and plaque with info I can see some of the windows and glass. When I was in elementary school we once went to the art museum and the indoor arboretum in Forest Park - St Louis. It was winter, but inside it was the tropics. Fascinating for a grade school child.

You are in Canada so it is probably in one of the Canadian cities.

OK, it is... United States Botanic Garden in Washington, DC.; sorry for the Canadian confusion. I lived in DC for 5 years and loved it. Museums, parks, statues and monuments, people, cherry blossoms, bike paths, no tall buildings, wide streets, interesting architecture, I could go on...

I haven't been there, I am as far from DC as you can get in the states without living in Hawaii or Alaska.
And that it was a few years ago, the clue is a real newspaper instead of an e-reader or tablet. I get my local paper in the electronic edition - leaves me searching for something to put on the table or work bench when I am going to do a messy job.

No joke - that was what I was going to post!! Only because of the museum style signage on the right and the bench style. There would be 75 locations fitting just those 2 clues. They do very nice displays at the Holidays.
