If you provide the images for free I would set up a Smugmug account, let the people from the event go on the account and allow them to download the images for free. That makes it easy for everyone. You can also set up a password for each event if you want. If you want to sell the images you can set up a storefront as well. This is also another way to showcase other event's you shoot. You can set no right-hand click so they can't download and only view.

Smugmug has worked great for me as well as my clients saving us both time and no need to print and send images out. Just one of many other options.

Good Luck

All these so-called great photographers on here who imply their images are so good they never have to edit their images.............. My response.....Ansel Adams.

I have been a professional photographer for some years now and a photographer forever. I have turned 69 and now realize my limitations carrying heavy glass around while traveling abroad or just going out to shoot landscapes or animals. I have been very interested in the Sigma or Tamron 150-600 lenses and getting close to pulling the trigger on one of them. Then your post enlightened me to this new Sony. You really have thrown a wrench into my thoughts for the future. If I sell all my glass and bodies, I would have thousands of dollars left over after buying the Sony. I guess I will be spending a lot of time reviewing this camera. I am however a bit concerned about the overall image quality compared to a full frame DSLR. I will be monitoring all the reviews on the web.

Thanks for the idea.

I am a big fan of Smugmug. Not too expensive and unlimited images. It offers many different types of viewing arrangements from private viewing requiring passwords to a general viewing audience and everything in between.

This pic tells a story and stimulates your imagination as street photography should. Not just some random every day shot with a name slapped on it. Nice to see a well thought out and captured image. B&W would also be interesting to see. Very well done!

I have just deleted my Facebook account yesterday for many of the reasons stated. Sick of Facebook and all the games. I think Google is next!

Just a thought.

You may also look and compare the Sigma 150 - 600 Contemporary to the Tamron. A little cheaper and reviews seem to put it slightly ahead of the Tamron. I am also looking for a telephoto and when the time is right I am leaning towards the Sigma.

Although cell phone users can take impressive images it is still the user behind any camera. With that said a more serious photographer will always need a real camera that can adjust to every situation and provide adjustments that a cell phone camera simply cannot do. At least not yet. IMHO

No doubt the cell phone camera technology is eating away at the DSLR and Mirrorless Market. However, I do think this report is a little deceptive. Everyone pretty much has a cell phone which just happens to have a camera built in. The sheer number of cell phones sold around the world vs. real camera's projects a false comparison. Although newer cell phones do provide some nice images, it will be a long time before they can duplicate the advantages of having a real camera. A person who is serious about photography will always buy a real camera in addition to a cell phone.

IMHO

Perhaps Google or the Nikon website could answer your question?
