If you are trying to sort the individual photo files within a folder then the sort function is what you need. It can be found under the "View" menu at the top of the page. It allows you to sort by various criteria including capture time, time added, file name/number etc. and can be done in ascending or descending order. If that is not what you are looking for, contact me by PM with more info and I will try to help you.

Thanks,Ed Re-worked the folder names and they are now in proper order.

Does anyone know how to re-arrange ( put in proper chronological order) file folders that for various reasons- not paying attention, different peripherals- are now in need of re-sorting. Adobe, manuals,NAAP,- don't seem to address this. And it's easy to misfile. Dragging the files seems to only create sub -folders.
There has to be a simple solution that I am missing.
Thanks for any help.

Should have stated folders,not files.

The choice of camera would actually matter, Maryann, depending on if it were a "full-frame" or "crop-sensor" camera. My own camera being a crop-sensor type, my lens choice would be a 24mm lens. I my camera were a full-frame, I would choose a 35mm lens.
Good question!

Is your realtor a photographer too? If you go down to 11mm, things will look unnaturally distorted. Is that what he/she wants? Personally, this annoys me, but I guess you give the client what he/she wants. You might want to inform your realtor that the cost will go up.

A less expensive option is to buy a nodal device for your tripod, use your existing gear, take a two frame pano, and stitch in post. It won't look distorted and you'll get the same or greater field of view.

Great advice.

I see these great B & W photos on facebook or flickr and wonder how they are shot. I read where the photographers use ND filters to get the "long shot's", i.e. 30 seconds or up to 3 minutes to smooth the water and the clouds. That gives the photos that silver smooth look where there's not a ripple in the water or any clouds as it all blends to one or close to it leaving an object isolated in the water like a boat or a pier. Does anyone know which are the best ND filters to use. I've read where they now up to ND6, which they've probably been there for years, and now ND8 and ND10. I'm sure they are great for waterfalls too. What does anyone suggest who photographs this way? Thank you.

I am looking for a lens and have narrowed it down to the Canon 70-200 F/4 L USM and the Canon EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
The 70-200 is not the IS model.
I want a lens to be ready for a shot of a building , a car, a person etc just a general walk around lens. I lean to the 28-135 for the IS but it is not a L lens and for close to te same money I can get the 70-200 L but not IS. Does anyone use this lens for handheld shooting and with what results.
Is the quality of the L lens twice as great as the non L lens?
I do not want to have to tripod up all the time but would I get great quality pics with the 28-135? I did search the forum and didn't see too much on the 28-135.
Thanks for your valued informtion .

Buying the best quality optics ( L ) is primary. Highly recommend the 70-200 f2.8 ( I S included ) If need be wait and save your pennies and get this lens. Very versatile and likely to the most used.

I currently shoot with a 7-D and own the following lens:
70-200 L 4.0 USM IS
24-105 L 4.0 USM IS
10-22 EF-S USM 3.5-4.5

If you could add 1 and only 1 new lens to this collection, what would it be and why? Only suggest Canon lens (or,their equivalents).
I shoot everything from MACRO to outdoors.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I appreciate them.
Dan

Go to Singh-Ray website( or call ) about the 4x6" reverse ND filter. It is darker in the middle - horizon.
