I know how to find the SC on a Nikon. How do you do this with a Canon product? Thanks.......Tommy

I have Canons. I got "Shutter Count" for $2.99 and there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many times I can use it. Just plug in the Canon and up comes the shutter count. I am working with Windows 7 on a PC.

Is there anyone from Vermont here? What is the job situation like?
I am considering a move.

Sleepless in Rhode Island.

I have a daughter in VT. The job market depends on where you are going and what kind of employment you are looking for. Obviously the job prospects are better near the big cities, Burlington for example. The smaller towns and villages are not good employment prospects. Suggest you check some of the VT papers and look at the classifieds. Would not recommend moving until you have a job. Good luck.

The 7D II firmware update is available on the Canon USA site today. In the process of installing now. TNmike

Yes I know. I tried to use that update and it wouldn't install because the firmware update I installed yesterday was there.

Anyone know how to "uninstall" a firmware update??

I know I am making this a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

How's your Mandarin?

I don't know about this specific situation, but it is possible that there could be some regional language differences.

Perhaps you will let us know!

Interesting enough, the instructions for completing were in several languages, including English.

According to a Canon Rumor website, the firmware update was available yesterday at Canon Asia. So, instead of waiting one day, I went in, downloaded the update and installed it.

My question is: Is there any reason to believe the firmware update 1.04 from the Asia website is any different from the firmware update 1.04 from the USA website?

I checked the file size and they are identical. thanks. Maybe after I get to 70 (July) I will learn how to be patient!

Costco was selling Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX19 -- compared to the ZX20.

ZX19 did not have GPS, available only in black, 4 grams lighter, and extra internal memory image storage which was 77MB compared to 12MB. And price was $50 cheaper.

I got these specs at:

Thanks for your response.

I have bought a two cameras there. We did not like the first, so exchanged it (without any problem) for the second. The real difference between the original manufacturer's versions and the versions they sell is that the ones they sell have some feature not found on the standard version, so the model number is slightly different. But I'm pretty sure they are still manufactured by the original manufacturer. At least, all the literature is there.

Please tell me what features not found on the standard version was found on the Costco model. thanks.

I have an opportunity to buy a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera with 2 lenses from a big box store requiring membership (begins with C...ends in O) for about $650. My question - has anyone had any experience buying camera equipment from C...O? I am sure I can return everything to the store if there is an issue but I wonder if these stores carry genuine equipment???? Just wanting some advice.

Been dealing with them for years. The only difference between them and the stores in NYC is that you will pay sales tax. The good news is that you have 90 days to return, never a hassle. Go for it,

There certainly appears to be a fair amount of angry people on here. Myself, at my age, is grateful to be here at all. Have no anger, just joy!

I feel a lot safer with the Optech installation. It uses the camera lugs that were designed for that purpose. Good luck.

Anywhere near Annapolis is a great place. The Chesapeake Bay is a fantastic place to see the sun rise or set. Good luck.
