Good rant. But you forgot - You take that path and i’all take this one - the creepy noise/music to let you know the beastie is coming - and, of course, the woman runs, falls, does the backward crab crawl, feet slipping, yelling “No.” But, you’re a better man than I Gunga Din, at least you can watch them.

Great shot. But the hiker better watch out for the rock troll above her head. Ha.

P.S. My recent drive through NM was completely dust free; Sept. time frame. There are nice calm days.

I live in Idaho. I have an older Canon T5i with a std canon (black) 18-200 lenses and the upper grade canon (white) lense, 100-400. Don’t know mod #s off hand. Anyway, I was out shooting eagles along the Snake, took a ranch road to the canyon rim, got stuck in deep moon dust, dust with consistency of flour. My camera with white lense fell and buried itself in moon dust. Retrieved camera, blew off and no workie. Took to camera repair. Upper grade Canon white lense is a sealed unit and was not affected. But Canon Reble cost $175 to get cleaned. Been to NM, stationed at Clovis, and recently drove through. Nice calm days, no dust blowing. Windy day, may have some dust, reasonable care, you won’t have any problems to have a camera out shooting, just don’t leave it out. Don’t remember if Taos area gets dust storms, but southern NM does, take care, and just don’t let your camer fall in dust, or water. Hope you have a good n safe trip.

I like the Nikon better, but that camera is way out of my budget. I have the V600 and am happy with that.

Yes, but then we review and judge our snaps. With digital their is no constraint on the number of pics. So if you get 10 good shots out of a hundred, that’s great. I hav the problem of not discarding. I throw all on the hard drive, and then on dvd. Figure I can pick n choose later.

An acquaintance dies, you aren’t really close, so you’re not able to say something relevant to their life, what do you say? Are you saying a person is not able to have heartfelt sorrow for the loss of a loved one? Guess we all have our irritants. Mine is yeah and yah instead of “yes.”

Great shot with the house. Hope you don’t mind that I copied your download. I too am going thru CO, but didn’t see a scene like that. My daughter lives in the Springs, me in Idaho, so it’s run the main roads.
