The free version of DropBox is plenty big for your purposes, very simple to use at both ends and I find that many non-potographers use it for sharing files.

I think it is time for a call to Adobe customer service! Thanks.

Thanks for the effort but it didn't work. Both cards were empty and reformatted. The computer recognizes the camera, i photo tries to open when I turn the camera on and connected, but when I go to LR and try to begin tethered capture, it says "no camera".

Thanks, the issue is the same weather a 10" cable or 6". I have tested both.

Thanks, I can get around the problem by downloading directly from the camera, slowly, but I want to fix the problem. I think when I put the card into the reader on the new computer it was somehow reformatted and given a new drive name which my computer doesn't recognize. I am hoping the Apple techs can tell me how to get the cards recognized as new drives.

I have used tethered capture infrequently. A couple months ago the D800 was recognized intermittently and I replaced the cable. It worked for one session and then wouldn't recognize the camera in tethered capture. However, it does recognize the camera when I import directly from the camera. Any thoughts?

I have been using two SanDisk Extreme Pro 32 g cards in a d800 for a few years and downloading through a card reader into LR on a MacBookPro. I recently went to a workshop at Maine Media and used my cards from my camera and downloaded images through their card reader into LR on a brand new iMac. When I got home I put the cards into my card reader and my computer could not read either card. If I left the card in the camera and plugged it into the usb port on the computer it was read fine. I find it difficult to believe that my card reader went bad sitting on my shelf for a week. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Check out the MeFoto Globe Trotter. I just went through the process and ended up getting it on advice of B&H. I am very satisfied with it portability and stability for my D800 and 70-200 2.8. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/926478-REG/benro_c2350q2k_2_series_carbon_travel_tripod.html

Try setting up a boarder the width of the matt you would like in LR Print Module "Layout" section and select "Print to File" in stead of Printer in the "Print Job" section. Then print the newly created file.

you may have checked the Zoom to Fill box in the Image Settings portion of the Print module.

I did the trip last year with a full frame D800 and used the 24-70 70 % of the time, 16-35 25% and 70-200 5% but that is just me.

I have had the non-VR version for four years and never wished I had VR but I love the VR on the 70-200. It is not just the $600 but the VR version is a much bigger lens, almost an inch longer, .37 lb. heavier and requires an 82mm filter vs. 77 mm which would cost another couple hundred.

I don't have my Nikon manual but I do have a Magic Lantern manual for the D 300 and it clearly anticipates a battery installed in the body. Also look at your Custom Menu Setting on the camera back and go to D Shooting/Display - d 11 Battery Order and it anticipates a battery installed in the body plus the MB-D10.

Looks clean to me. Do you ever change lenses? If not, there is no reason for dust to get on the sensor.

Yes you can and you can also use the ELN-4 battery in the grip. Another option would be to review the manual.
