That’s what I was thinking too. Felt will allow the wood plate to move easily. And by the way that’s a real nice piece of wood you cut I really like that very good job .

Lonestar flight museum it’s at Ellington Field which is just south of Houston.
They have some World War II and vantage aircraft in there and a few other things it’s a new building and it’s really nice a lot of the aircraft were destroyed in the hurricane a few years ago when they were based out of Galveston so they moved the remainder of it up to Ellington Field it’s just right off Highway 45 and the loop .
Then just farther down the road maybe less than an hours drive is Galveston which is the gulf coast. There in Houston is a printing museum of printing presses throughout history they have a working replica of the Gutenberg press and you can actually press a copy of the constitution and some other stuff that’s very interesting also just depends on what you’re looking for there’s a lot there .

Thom,
I owe you a sincere apology. When I got the email ALL I saw was your reply that I responded too. And nothing else. Well I guess I missed something or I would not responded unless I thought it was to me. I did wonder why you mentioned 'patients' ? but I was in and out of the house and did not take time to explore the options and spend time on this. I again just now returned after being out all day, so it goes. I now, after signing on, see some of the treads to other members. Again I apologize, I thought it was to me. I should have known better and NO I am not trying to pick a fight. And NO 67 is not an excuse. I was saying I was responding to me being too young to v**e or even know the issues at that time. I NEVER even considered you trying pick a fight or jab me, I was simlply replying if this was to me or not.
I do like your spunk and most assuredly I am not offended or taking it personal. Since this is an email type of forum we are limited on how we can quickly resolve these things.
Yea political stuff gets rolling sometimes on this forum but I look at is as comic relief as people vent it out. The next day it is all over and something else.
I have not even seen anything to 'largobob' but only someone else now that I signed on. Be cool bro, it's all good.
Now that I think about it, the email I responded too may not have even been about the AZ mag at all ??? duhhh. OH well.
Anyway Thom, I extend my most sincere apology to you on this.
Be cool bro,
bruce

I’m not picking a fight, but my post was directed at “largobob”. I guess small print is a b***h. I didn’t bring Trump into it, he did. If you are really looking for a fight, maybe someone else here can help you. I’m not really interested. It is a beautiful magazine, but what does that have to do with your post to me? Oh, 67 isn’t old enough to use as an excuse.

Are you replying to me ?
I am 67, he was a Senator and ran for prez in 64 or so. Before my time to v**e dude. I do remember him but not as a photographer. There is over 15,000 photos he took. Mostly documenting Arizona and it's Native tribes and beautiful landscapes. His work is being preserved and it should. Forget and I mean FORGET about all the political crap Ok. I have travel all over Arizona while young and later on and I can surly testify of the beauty there. That is what this is all about. A man who wanted to preserve this in photos.
Please appreciate this for what it is.

Hey Owl;
The day you posted this I looked for it. I finally contacted the Arizona Highways magazine and ordered it. Today it arrived. It is a special collectors issue too. Best $4.99 I ever spent. The photo's are nice considering the started posting his work in 1938. I had no idea he was a photo historian and enthusiast. The AH mag first published his work in 1939. On page 32 Ansel Adams noted while on the Rainbow Bridge trail going to a site to shoot, he ran into a then young man, Barry Goldwater, who pursuing photography with obvious fervor. Mr. Goldwater showed him an easier way to reach the great natural bridge site. They remained close friends all their lives.
Anyway I wanted to share this with you. Thank you again for bringing this up.

This issue is entirely dedicated to Senator Barry Goldwater. Some of you may be of an age in which you remember Goldwater as a well known U.S. Senator from Arizona, who also was a unsuccessful p**********l candidate. Any rate, the topics in this AZ Highways primarily feature Goldwater's work as a national respected photographer and a historical ambassador for Arizona.

Just another example of the tragedy, we will be seeing this all over the country now. Manger scenes removed and prohibited. The agenda of these Marxist inspired people is to destroy and remove any Christian and Jewish heritage and historically cultural links to our past by brain washing our children. I am being 'churchy' or political or whatever. It is just the facts. I just observe it. I love history, if we do not learn form it we will fail. Thanks for the reply.

It's nation wide Mark.
When the local school districts nation wide conceded their jurisdiction to the Federal government in exchange for chump change money, they lost the ability and their RIGHTS to teach and educate our children properly like they had used to previously. So, the dumbing down began. I witnessed it when I has in High school in the 60's and have seen it get worse and worse as time went on. It is Nation wide agenda pushed by the dumb-asses and weaklings in Washington. While we slept, we lost our liberty. Private schools do not buy into that crap. When I speak with a person who went to a private school which did not buy into that brain washing, it is amazing how intelligent they are. These are the ones who will hopefully take the lead.

That is a sweeping generalization about education. There are many states that have excellent educational systems. Perhaps not Texas? - not an indictment - just observing your state of residence.

Really ? this is scary. It truly must be young and dumb who think this way. I am from and still in Texas and have traveled all over and lived all over this country. Really love New Mexico and Arizona. I always knew better but then again I am 67 and from that era when we were taught. Amazing what some people think.

DragonsLady wrote:
That's not so unusual for us who live in New Mexico. Our New Mexico magazine even has a page dedicated to "One of our states is missing" reports. When I was younger (about 13 or so) we moved to Nashville, TN. People asked us if the stage coach still runs and if the Indians still attack. What's somewhat worse is most Texans think New Mexico is West Texas. New Mexico was the 47th state to join the Union and was six weeks before Arizona entered as the 48th.

Indeed, this is an example all over the country of how we allowed our school (fool) systems to fail our children. I raised three sons. I removed them from the public fool system and placed them in a charter school. At that time it was much better they were actually taught how to think objectively. Today I have no idea how that is holding out, this was 20 years ago. I do feel good when I run into a young person who is really on the ball and I tell them so. They know they are not being taught history, civics, math, how read and write. But they know how to embrace Socialism and bash our country. Young people who are not brain washed and brain dead drones need and love to hear encouragement knowing they are not alone.
Last week-end I ran up to the local Office Depot to get some old photo's scanned and printed. Yea it was a last minute thing for my parents 70th anniversary.
The young lady working the photo and printing dept. could not open the folder on either of my two flash drives. So I bought one there and copied it over and she was able to then pull them up. I said I want these 4 printed as 8x10's and the rest standard 5x7's.
I had to explain twice what i wanted. She finally got it. I laughed it off.
After post processing and old photo which was under exposed, I returned the next day morning to get that one printed but their printer was once again broke.
I told her I really appreciated her help and the work she did was lovely. I admired her attitude too. She looked at me started glow ! This threw her off. She told me she was not used to compliments but negative responses from customers and work mates. I made her day.
The only thing we can pray for is that eventually these dumb-asses will wake up and learn how to use their brain. I will excuse the lady I just mentioned from this comment. But yes, there are too many uneducated people today. Lenin, Marx, Mao, Castro, must all be rolling over laughing their asses off and back slapping each other on how quick and easy it was to bring down the American people and western civilization and move toward world wide globalist communism. Oh well, let's lay this on Trump too. Hey Trump, leaves are falling in Texas ! I want my summer back. Well I hope this is enough to chew on folks.

I am not surprised considering the state of our educational system today. the sad thing is these people vote and they breed.

The first news is unusual but acceptable. The second one is distressing.
How could someone work for the government ignoring that New Mexico is a State of the Union? How are those people hired to jobs that require not only common sense but also a certain level of education?
