This issue is entirely dedicated to Senator Barry Goldwater. Some of you may be of an age in which you remember Goldwater as a well known U.S. Senator from Arizona, who also was a unsuccessful p**********l candidate. Any rate, the topics in this AZ Highways primarily feature Goldwater's work as a national respected photographer and a historical ambassador for Arizona.

I am happy to say that my first ever p**********l v**e was cast for Senator Goldwater. He was a man of many extraordinary talents. And his integrity was unquestioned. One biographer credits him with being the person who convinced Richard Nixon to resign. Goldwater told him to his face, that he was guilty as hell of abuse of P**********l power. Nixon resigned the next day.

I remember him. I also recall A drink called Goldwater if I recall it was either Ginger ale for something like ginger ale.
I really believe if he was elected president back then history would prove that he would have been one of the best presidents we would’ve ever had in this country. I did not know he was a historian but that’s really good that he did that he was proud of his country and proud of his state we need more people like him today.

Who can forget the slogan "AuH2O"?

Nixon was not the narcissist our current criminal president is. He listened to common sense.

A leopard doesn't change it's spots. We got exactly what we elected....the man has not changed one bit since WAY before the campaign trail. He is what he is.

Many of us are pleased that we finally have a strong leader who is actually trying to do what he said he intended to do. And yes, that's why we v**ed for him.

Nice of them to cover him.
Very good senator for AZ.
I also remember the AuH2O slogan.

If we had an honest candidate if we had a believable candidate if we had a trustworthy candidate if we had a candidate who wasn't deceiving that candidate would have easily won. That was not our choice. That is why this person got elected.

The criminal is the candidate who ran against our current president and lost.

Unfortunately much of the e*****rate are accustomed to candidates making wild promises and never acting on them when they get in office. Our current president is the exception to that political rule. How refreshing.

Certainly did contribute....few would argue that Hillary is a slime ball. But in addition, our president came along with ideas that huge numbers of Americans support.

Thank you for posting this about him. I grew up in Texas and as far back as I can remember my parents and also my sister subscribed to the Arizona Highways magazine. We vacationed there too, of course the Grand Canyon was always on the places we went. The photographs of the scenes are very beautiful. This morning I will be in the area close to a Barnes and Nobles. I am going in and looking for this magazine. I must wonder how many people knew he was a photographer and historical rep. for Arizona ?
Anyway, as I said before, if he had won I truly believe he history would record him as one of America's greatest Presidents.
Thank you again for bringing this up to us.
bruce.

Does the word photographer used once qualify this as a photography discussion?
