I have a 24-70 f/2.8 dg ex sigma that is a great portrait lens
I'm selling it because I now have lenses on both sides of that range so I don't have a need for it any longer it fits Canon

let me know if you are interested

ACDSee pro 5 is a really good program... i use it, but not alone.
depends on what level of your journey you are on.
i use it and love it, then run the photo through " smart editor" or photo shop cs5

try adjusting the dioptic adjuster near the view finder (CANON)
to get a clear picture....double check the focus with and without glasses to check
after adjusting the adjuster + or - check it against auto focus to compare

if you don't want to fool with the dioptic adjuster use your glasses

i think one of the few differences is that with version 2 you would be able to use a 2x teleconverter...
if that is not important to you...buy the used...
I have many L series lenses, and have no issues with my 70-200 is 2.8 L

George,
this is just my opinion, I have a handful of 430's
and do quite well with them. when I was buying these units,
i did not feel that the 580's were worth the extra $...
sorry, i did not mean to offend

you could try using a gimble head...lots of flexibility there

go for the 430 and buy a broom
do not go for the 580 ....not enough bang for the buck

i really only use manual mode for creative or special effect shooting...i also use a 7D and although most of my shooting is ;camera set on manual...the lenses are most always set to auto.

All,

Saw this scene yesterday and went back and shot it this morning. Looking for very honest hard hitting criticism and everyone's opinion as to whether it's more effective in color or B&W.

Let me have it.

nothing grabbing me about this shot; think i prefer the color version///it may be over color corected
