i had to post this question because i have a favorite purchase already...and it is 100% due to the fine folks who made the recommendation.

i bought the op/tech double camera sling and i love it. best $39 i ever spent, and it's made right here in the usa. i can safely carry my 7d and 5d with lenses attached and ready to shoot. since i have battery grips on both, the 2 attaching straps are quite secure.

i am looking to top this purchase, but haven't found it yet. i have built up quite a little stash so i am on the lookout.

but as to date, for this year...this has been my absolute best purchase!!

ok..now tell us yours..............

My favorite, and best purchase so far this year is an Epson V330 Scanner to digitize a bunch of 35mm slides for my sister. MT Shooter recommended the Epson to me, and I am grateful to him.

Mine has to be the Sigma 150-500mm OS lens, at least so far.

Glad to see my OpTech and Epson recommendations are holding up on here! LOL

Best by far, lessons in macro and bird photography from two real pros in Central Florida.
In terms of hardware, it would be a Tamron 90mm Macro lens for my Alpha 500.

Refurbished Nikon D5000 kit with 18-55 mm and 55-200 mm lenses, which arrived yesterday. Purchased from Cameta.com, which I'd never heard of before joining UHH. Also, learned that refurb equipment can be as high quality or higher than new. Thanks, all.
