canon 70-200 is vs canon 70-200 is II

looking at getting a new lens and can get a used is version for 800 less than the new version what difference if any am i going to see in the pictures taken with my 7d

I have rented both and loved the results from both. I can't tell the difference. Save the money, get the used one!

I bought the 70-200 IS II used and love it. I even bought a Canon 7D camera used, no problems either.

i think one of the few differences is that with version 2 you would be able to use a 2x teleconverter...
if that is not important to you...buy the used...
I have many L series lenses, and have no issues with my 70-200 is 2.8 L
