Maybe I missed something in all this. BUT, what if someone's keyboard malfunctions and they can only post in CAPS? Does that mean they are excluded till they can replace their keyboard?

Just a friendly question.

If an alien shows up with a book "How To Serve Man" and invites you to his BBQ, DO NOT GO HE'S CARRYING A COOKBOOK!!!

SIDE NOTE: I took this from a short story. "To Serve Man" is a science fiction short story by American writer Damon Knight. It first appeared in the November 1950 issue of Galaxy Science Fiction and has been reprinted a number of times, including in Frontiers in Space (1955), Far Out (1961), and The Best of Damon Knight (1976).

I'd like to add a prefix or a suffix to a group of files. Google led me to EasyFileRenamer. I downloaded it and accepted the Trial offer. After selecting three files to rename as a test, I was led to the buying page. Why would I buy it if I don't know if it will do what I want? The cost is $20 for a year - not something I would pay for anyway.

It doesn't look like there is a way to batch rename files by adding a prefix or suffix.

EDIT: I found File Renamer Basic, a free program that seems to do what I want. I'll take a look at the paid Deluxe version.

Try BULK RENAME UTILITY... it does a lot and is FREE to use.

EDIT: After posting I see that someone already mentioned this one.

Where did the name "Ugly Hedgehog" originate? Granted he hog is not too beautiful but if the male hog thought the female was "ugly" we would have no little hogs.

"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" is my interpretation.

When I had my cataracts done over 15 years ago, my Doctor suggested the "Restore" lenses. Multifocal, they have circular rings. He did inform me that I would have to get used to the light rings (halos) caused by bright lights at night. That was easy to get used to. The "Restore" lenses had no noticeable effect on my DSLR cameras. BTW, I am a diabetic with some bleeding in my eyes but not affecting my vision.

I believe all delivery services have the issue of who the driver is. In my area (an HOA) we get our deliveries in either our mailbox (USPS) or on our doorstep. At this time we have not had an issue. Our drivers have been great so far. Doorbell gets rung if the driver thinks it should not be left sitting there. This might be due to the "grab & run" thieves that have happened in some communities. To top it off, I have security cameras pointing at the front door and another pointed down the walkway from the front door; I can visually check if I am expecting a delivery.

Remember that the Pony Express went out of business in 18 months. A cautionary tale for express services.

The company had spent its brief history bridging the gap between the Eastern and Western telegraph lines, but it was finally rendered obsolete on October 24, 1861, when Western Union completed the transcontinental telegraph line at Salt Lake City. The Pony Express ceased service just two days later.

The underside has an adhesive. When the protective cover is removed, dust my attach. When you remove one from an LCD screen dust can attach. So your screen will end up with the dust.

I too, place the protective covers on my screens. The only time you would need to remove them is to replace them due to damage. Then you would clean the screen before placing the new one on it. Lately, I have been using the thin hardened thin glass versions. So much nicer. On the one occasion that one was damaged, the seller replaced it free.

For all my military retired and veteran friends, I challenge you to copy and paste this as your status. Replace my years with yours and then remember what that oath means, every word.

I made the oath 53 years ago, and it never expires (as far as I and others agree).

Why does someone always have to insert a political comment and derogatory? No need to answer this is just my vent over what I consider stupidity and disrespect. Your opinion may differ and that is your right.
