Fourteen states have reported their highest-ever infection averages for a one-week period of time. We can still go out and do what we have to do, but don't be over-confident and get infected. Google will show you related articles about this.
I hope this doesn't get moved to "you know where." There's nothing controversial or disgusting about it.

On Sunday, there was a one-day world-wide record set - 136,000 new infections.
You folks are unfortunately pooched....all because of you know who .
Increased testing equals more KNOWN cases, not necessarily more ACTUAL cases.

That's true! That's great! So, if we don't test we won't have any! Wow, I'm relieved!
More testing probably accounts for much of the increase now. In two weeks you can blame any increase on protests against black racism.

Much of the reported increase is caused by a large increase in testing at prisons, congregate care facilities and nursing homes. However, with that said, there has been an increase in actual cases due to increased travel by people and a reduction in personal protective actions. This increase has been expected by medical folks and they are monitoring it throughout the USA for unexpected spikes. Currently, they are not too concerned about the increases because we have the medical capacity to manage the increases.
The best thing to do is to protect yourself as much as possible while increasing your outdoor activities.
Other news indicates we may be experiencing seven different strains of the virus. The study was of a small sample (less than 50 people), but researchers found seven different strains in California. More research is being conducted on this issue.

Why does someone always have to insert a political comment and derogatory? No need to answer this is just my vent over what I consider stupidity and disrespect. Your opinion may differ and that is your right.

If the shoe fits ............
For the mention of testing being the cause of known increased cases, my be is still that overall only folks showing signs of the virus are being tested.
Yes there are some exceptions to this, but I suspect most tests are done when some feels ill due to one or more of the virus symptoms. Bottom line, the rate of infections is Still Increasing.
