A group I'm in recently had a zoom meeting and the free version is limited to 40 minutes. During our meeting, a screen message popped up saying it was removing the time restriction and we had a meeting for 1 and a half hours. I don't know how often they do that, and it may depend on the amount of free meetings taking place at the same time.
The host sends out a link for the meeting and you click the link and go right into the meeting, there was not problem logging on and the password is included with the link

There is an office at Jefferson Barracks that you call to make arrangements for burial at any of the National Cemeteries except Arlington National Cemetery. You call them directly.

Correct on the location....I see you are in Salisbury...
Kinda just up the road from me....Someday I'm going to make the trek up and get to the train museum in Spencer.
It has been a goal of mine for awhile, but never seem to be able to make for one reason or another.

Tom

Tom,
You need to go to the museum. I've been volunteering there for the last 35 years. Been closed down because of COVID but they are starting to open back up and offer train rides on the sight again. Check their website for times.

It's in pretty rough shape. As with our tank photos (which we signed a waiver to shoot), posing with something this size is a compromise. If you show the entire vehicle for every shot, the model is no longer the center of attention. If the model doesn't interact with the vehicle, you quickly run out of interesting shots.

Salisbury is a hotbed of railroad enthusiasts. I guess you're one, LOL. I'm sure the WSSB guys could get in trouble for what they did today, so shh, please.

The Winston Salem Southbound caboose. Didn’t think there were any around. Correct that they won’t give you permission because if you got hurt it would fall back on them

Before I read your location, I looked at the photo and I thought, that looks like beautiful downtown Waxhaw. Great photos.

I am going to assume women's nipples aren't as sensitive as men's.

I’m not sure about that because there are women that can have an orgasm from having their nipples rubbed

Any comments on the location and history?

Don't know any history of this property. It is a wooded (until clear cut) piece of property that was on a sharp curve on Hwy 801 between Cooleemee and Bermuda Run in North Carolina. One end of the property being cut is a stand of cane or bamboo which I understand is a lot like kudzoo, once it gets started it is hard to control. The other house and barn are in the clear now also.

Great photo and story! I'd love to poke around in there. Probably a huge fireplace in the family room. Would like to know if there are clues as to the previous/original owner, the year built, why abandoned etc. I have friends in Salisbury, wish I could come to visit/investigate, but currently "sheltering in place"...

The house and property are on Hwy 801 between Cooleemee and Bermuda Run and before you get to the community of Advance. Stay safe.

They have logged some property and this house appeared after trees are cut down. There is another house a barn and several outbuildings on the property that were not viewable until the trees come down. A nice large home at one time that was left to the elements

27-minute video.
The articulation starts at 4:10.
So far, this is the best articulation of 4014 that I've seen so far.

Great video, the zoom lens on the video camera makes it look real sharp. Interesting at about 5:22 how the front drivers shifted over. Also the close up of the engineer he was working the independent brake to keep the locomotive at a crawl. Most of the weight is on the back set of drivers, and you will see videos of the Challenger where the front drivers will loose traction and spin but the back set won't. I'm sure the Big Boy is the same where the front will spin before the back since this is not a compound engine.

This is on the east side of Bozeman Pass. The Livingston Helpers assisting the BNFS over the pass. Before the end of the train entered the tunnel, the Livingston Helpers cut off and headed back to Livingston.
