I understand I need unzip software. I was asking which I should choose.
This is a Mac message. Apparently Mac internal software cannot unzip files larger than 4G.
When I backup my Lightroom catalog I get a message that it is over 4G and that I will need an external unzip application to restore it if necessary. Have any of you had this issue and what application did you install to handle the situation in a user friendly manner? I am running a Mac Studio with Monterey and a MacBook Pro with Monterey.
Try inkowl.com
They have a kit that contains all colors, replacement refillable cartridges and filling needles. It all works very well once you fully understand the instructions. The ink supplied is quite generous.
I have the Mac Studio and a BenQ monitor and I couldn't be happier. What you are suggesting is a wonderful solution. Your might want to look at the Mac mini also, with the M1 chip. That might save you some $ and be more than ample for your usages.
I believe about a year ago Lightroom remembered your previous import settings. Now it defaults to the "Pictures" folder. You now need to be very careful before pressing the import button.
Hats off to Topaz! I had a problem a few days ago with Gigapixel. I emailed them thru their web site and got a prompt response with several suggestions. They handled the issue in a friendly manner and offered additional help, if needed. I was 100% satisfied.
I have the most recent version of all my programs and OS’s. My mail is working thru LR AS expected but using Apple Mail rather than Gmail. It ends up using gmail anyway. I know this is confusing but I am good.
I had the same problem with Lightroom crashing while I was entering the address. I was using gmail as my selection in the dialog box. I switched to Apple Mail as a previous responder mentioned and it worked fine. This has happened to me before with other Lightroom updates and somehow over time, Lightroom seems to resolve.
I am having a similar issue that seems to be related to raw files changed to dng in Pure Raw and Topaz DeNoise AI. It may also be related to the file size. Try changing the mail setting to “Apple Mail” if not that way already.
Mine did not go smoothly but I was able to accomplish it. I did not get a screen to slide the app into applications.
I had to do that manually on my Macbook.
Make sure your camera is set to Autofocus and the switch on the lens, as well. It sounds as if you are not auto focusing.
I use the focus hold button on the lens barrel and it works great. Regarding the shutter button, if you leave it on and focus with another programmed focus button and hold it in while shooting, the shutter button will not refocus.
If you are running on Mac try Pixelmator Pro. The repair and cloning tools are excellent.
If I were to suggest a new answer it would be exactly what was said re lock-On AF. Turn it off.
