I have opportunity to buy one with less than 7500 actuation for four hundred and fifty dollars. My quandary is that I have been thinking about a full frame but this sounds like to good a deal to pass up. The gentleman is local and retired as I am and he wanting a full frame also. We both agree that we do not need another body but try to justify by why not at our age. I do like to shoot wild life and birds some family and friends as well. I have three capable bodies already the newest being 60d. Your thoughts appreciated.

I had the GAS for a 7dmk2 when I already had a 60D, life is to short, go for it. The extra focusing points are well worth it, sell the 60D if you don't want too many bodies . Enjoy

I was wondering if anyone has used the Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 VC PZD All-In-One Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras ... I Have a Nikon D3000. I shoot for fun but have also been helping a few people out with Senior Pictures and the occasional low budget wedding .. I typically do not charge I just like to do it and hey I can help someone who can't afford a "real professional" ... Anyway I am looking for something that is affordable so I am not having to switch my lens so much ... What are your thoughts??

I was also looking at the Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM for Nikon
I was wondering if anyone has used the Tamron AF 1... (show quote)

I had the Tamron 18-270 3.5-6.3 , at times I thought the lens worked well and I managed some good results with it, very sharp, lots of detail etc and other times I thought it was not so good. I used it for shooting some landscapes at F11 and it performed well, with low shutter speeds on a tripod but hand held at 6.3 for other subjects and faster shutter speeds it appeared to work not so well. For a lightweight travel lens it was very good. It was used on various Canon bodies. Hope this helps. Washy

I find the videos on you tube to be worth watching especially those with Canon backing.

I want either a (Tamron 150-600mm or Nikon 200-500mm) lenses.
I want to be able to get Sharp Images and Sharp Detail on Feathers when Shooting Birds. Lens will be used on D750 and a D7100.
Saw some photos Recently by Nikon 200-500mm Posted Here of some Birds but Feathers didn't have any Detail or Sharpness. (But the guy was very proud of them). Don't know if they where Over Cropped or What was going on!
I downloaded images and I wasn't impressed.
Some people seem to Love the Tamron and Others Hate It !
I would like to here from Both Sides Tamron and Nikon Folks!

This image was taken on a sunny day with a Canon 60D and the Tamron 150-600 at a distance of about 60 yards with me lying on my belly hand holding the camera. I think you pay your money you take your pick and sometimes you may get a really sharp lens from any of these mentioned and sometimes you don't. What I think is important that you get the lens tuned to your camera body and if your images are soft take the lens to your dealer and get him to check the focus.

The focusing system on the Canon 7d mk 2 is just stunning, I got mine last week. Only one problem, I am getting too many keepers, going to need more external hard drive space. gereat images of the Waxwing

I forgot to mention when you custom profile your papers all the other profiles are not used including the printers own colour management

one way of getting your printer to print correct colours is to as has been mentioned before, calibrate your screen with a Spyder or Colormonki, the spyder I am told if far better than a color monki. Then get your printer custom profiled to match both your ink and the paper you print on. Each different paper will have its own profile. I use different papers for what different image I print. The custom profiles are free normally from your paper supplier. I use www.fotospeed.com the results are amazing. I used to have the same problem you have but no longer. Both my screens are spydered and my lap top as well. I'm sure you will have a paper supplier in the US than can icc profile your printer.

You will find your Canon printers use less ink, if you have profiles made to suit the ink and the different papers. They are free from paper companies. The profile tells the printer how much ink to lay down on the various different papers, resulting in ink saving and far better images. I understand that profiles work for Epsom printers too.

HP pavilion, windows 8.1, 2tb HD WITH 2tb external HD.. When it goes to update I get a screen that says cannot connect to Adobe, check my connection and firewall. Of coarse I did. Also launching the CC App I have no access to my apps. PS and LR both still work on my computer but I can't update or launch anything fron Cc App. It's a known issue, it's all over the web with remedy solutions.

I have a similar problem. Adobe cc has an update, when I try to update across comes the message "cannot upload" .after three times trying I have given up. CC2015 working fine as it is

This was a used camera. Warranties are not usely done on resold merchandise. They truly went above and beyond. I would have a hard time with this.

Correct but as the camera was only a few months old, with so little use, they repaired it for free.

As I understand it from Canon, you must have the original receipt AND warranty card to get the warranty. They said they do not accept warranty if product was resold. Have you ever tried to have it repaired by Canon?

I bought a Canon 60D from a polish chap, his mother gave it to him for a birthday present. So I believe it was a Polish model, any way a fault occurred and Canon UK wanted to charge me for the repair, as although only 9 months old with less than 100 shutter count(obtained from the battery info, as the charger was still wrapped. I wrote to the managing director, result camera repaired and returned in 3 days at no cost. Way to Go Canon

You ruined the image when you over sharpened in Lightroom. There is a white outline around the legs and the neck is just gross. Come on you're trolling us right? You really are making a joke of the lens right? I get it. lololol

So funny - thanks for sharing.

Just proving your wrong along with all the crap you been mouthing, and now like every one else I'm leaving you to your own unsatisfactory life. After all your only on here to upset folks, in fact I think your are JR1 who supposedly came from Cornwall. Go get your eyes tested and a shovel for your mouth.

Nah... the labs report lack of sharpness at 600 mm for this lens. To say it is the same at 400 as Nikon or Canon misses the point. This not a 400 mm lens it is a 600 and that is why people buy it. It is also at f6.3 necessitating a higher ISO and longer shutter sped than a f/4 in low light. It also limits your ability to add a TC. It is cheaper but that's about it. Go for it but it is no way equivalent to Nikon on Canon. though many like yourself will try to make that argument.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Tamron 150-600 from about 150 yards away, sharp enough?

I believe we started on Tamron and Sigma V Canon /Nickon
