To: All my fellow 'Hoggers':
It's my prayer we all make it a happy Christmas for Jesus by inviting Him into your heart, as your Personal Savior.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the Holidays and be well!
God Bless,

Hmm, the way I view AI:
I still 'category' it in the photographic arena.
It's simply an 'outgrowth' from the photographic world. How possible would AI be, without the 'photos' it uses to create its product? Is it not still 'linked' to 'photos' (photography)?
Just my two-cents worth.
(Nice job, by the way).

In my previous post over AI generated, many - correctly - pointed out that there were many defects, especially with the hands, plastiky skin, etc.

Being myself involved in AI research, I continued improving on the matter and wanted to share a sample of my latest results. BTW I've got new hardware... this partly allows me to create more complex imaginery.

As before, Many will ahhh... point out, that it this is not the place for such a post and that it should be ostracized to some obscure sub-forum.

Still, I believe I belongs here - and of course NOT in the photo gallery - because my intentions are to inform this prestigious community on the state of the art on AI image creation and to stir discussion on how it might affect photography.

Full disclosure: ** No, they are not real and I did not use any photo of any kind **
In my previous post over AI generated, many - corr... (show quote)

Yep, and even before that all the way back to, forget the name but I think it was Windows 3.1, but not sure. I thought Dos was fun and rewarding. I even enjoyed using the little Radio Shack"M-1", very small 'computer' with the combo keys... and cassette tape recorder instead of disk drive.
Then there were the 'tom toms' that we used, before computers...(sorry.. getting a bit carried away!:o)

They seem to be on a trajectory to attempt an overtake of Amazon. But, are their products any good? I realize most are probably manufactured in China (or similar), and I suspect they are sub-par, but haven't bought any, or know of anyone who has. My question, have you? What has your experience been? Is the tool that costs $20 at Harbor Freight worth the $2.50 TEMU charges.

No personal experience with Temu but my daughter has practically become addicted to them! She has her items shipped to my address since she's not home a lot and I receive items two or three times a week she has ordered. She seems very pleased with her purchases and has also returned, (with no problem), several items she wasn't satisfied with so they seem to be pretty decent and easy to deal with.

Hi Jerry,
I'd say it depends on the ink-output of your printer. I do a lot of double-sided printing on only 20lb. paper and no bleed through.

"Reactionary" responses = "I know more than you do." Jack, it seems no matter the subject, a topic in main discussion is immediately filled with big egos desperate to prove their stuff every day.

Your second example is more impressive IMO because it's more complex. It's great you are enjoying the new PS tools, and given your interest in bird photography especially, you'll probably have plenty of opportunity for using.

Thanks for being one of the good guys!

Right on, Linda! Wise reply.

2014, with my super-zoom Canon sx50. People around here call lenticular clouds cap clouds when they hang over the mountains. I was very fortunate to capture this because it was already starting to de-form as I took the photo.

Excellent shot Linda! I still enjoy my SX-50.

I would say I'm in agreement with that Nun who responded as she did. The 'higher power' (God Almighty) who created the 'big bang'. I believe all things were created by the Lord God...
I believe Our Father God always was, and created everything that has been created, including the Scientists who try to explain Him away. I believe life as we know it would be a useless waste of time without my belief as such.

I agree with you about the 'monthly cost'. You may find, when you bring the program up again that it has saved your work up to that point. Worth a try.

Mike, there are no words of comfort for this heavy loss. Just know I'm praying for it to ease-off in time. I'm sure there are many on our site here who fully understand the empty feeling you're experiencing. Hopefully your 'Sassy' and my 'Sidney' are now friends and really enjoying themselves. We had to put Sid down almost ten years ago. Hardest thing I think I've ever had to do.
Hang in there....

Cindy,
ClipChamp is a free video editor that comes with/for both Win.10 & 11. You can either use it online, or go to the Microsoft Store and download it to your computer. Of course, there is a 'full' version if you care to rent it monthly but the free version is quite powerful.

I agree with you...it's going to take some getting used to. I have enjoyed how it was previously over quite a few years, but evidently the powers that be felt a need for change.
I'm still trying to learn how to operate a phone that's smarter than me, so it might take me a while to adjust to this new arrangement on the Hog. I'm sort of a 'stick in the mid' when it comes to change. Not too excited about this. Maybe this will give me more time for my other duties in the morning now, 'cause it appears I may be spending less time in the new environment here.
Just my two cents worth.
