One of my photo-buddies, Eric Leslie, is an outstanding landscape photographer.
He has authored several "How To" articles. Here is one of them:

You guys crack me up. You are comparing macro capabilities with telephoto ratings. Apples to oranges, then you wonder why the red fruit doesn't make good orange juice

I don't think MWAC is really considering this, so we can all relax.

I'm not leaving.... today is just a bad day. Someone decided to send me a rude pm, not a wise move on a day where I am not feeling well and fighting with my husband, lol.

and sometimes there are people who need to be reminded not to step between a mother bear and her cub

Sounds like the answer. I do have 13X19 as well as 11X17. I suppose it will just look like an 11X17 with a lot of "white area" is this correct?

Thanks

If you are trying to print on 11x14 paper you have to use 'custom' setting at the bottom of the paper size list.

You are a pro if you make more than 1/2 of your earnings from photography. You might be a semi-pro or an artist, what ever you chose to be. I consider myself a pastpro. trying to be an artist again, to enjoy this hobby more. Ruined a good hobby by being a pro. Now trying to regain the artistic end of a great hobby.

According to the IRS you are a Farmer or Fisherman if you make 2/3 or more of your income from that endeavor. Don't know if that translates. ;)

Have a Pentax H1, dont use much as the shutter sticks below 1/30 and a Pentax SF1n in use.

Would love to know how you can get CS for that price - I would buy that in a flash, great programme but too expensive for me at the regular price.

Adobe sent the offer because I have elements.

Last March Adobe sent me an e-mail offering CS5 for $299, valid for 2 weeks. I understood it was because I was a registered user of Elements 3, 5 and 8. I picked it up 'cause as a non-student I felt I would never see that price again :-)

So did you find it difficult to adjust to? Do you use it often? Do you regret the purchase?
quote=les2297 quote=PES quote=TrishV Would love... (show quote)

So far I don't use it much at all. I use LightRoom with Elements 10.For me CS5 is overkill for what I want to do with my photos. Not sorry I got it as down the road I may get to it, but just don't have the patience to sit down and learn it right now.. rather be out taking pics.

What Jay Jay suggested, dells 2410LCD is an H-IPS monitor which should be a good choice

Ditto again on Dell U2410. Comes out of the box color calibrated. Also runs from DisplayPort off the graphics card... Find it interesting that people spend $1000+ on a Camera, $1000+ on Glass, then hundreds on PP software and want it to work perfectly on a $129.99 monitor ;-)

Its fun to watch the country wake up with UH. First NJ and FL, then a few in the mid west, then the mountains (except for MT, he's up with the chickens). We westerners seem to be slow to wake ;) . As for the coffee I got a Kuerig so I could have a cup of coffee while the pot was brewing :-)
