I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post so here goes.

My photos have been accepted to display as a one man exhibit at a local art gallery in Thousand Oaks, CA.

If you are local, I would love to have you stop by.

Thanks for all that I have learned and will continue to learn from fellow UHH's

Sincerely,

That's great! From the looks of the poster it looks like your work is being displayed in a reputable gallery. I used to live in Los Angeles and I know the Thousand Oaks is an upscale community. I hope you sell a lot of your work.

I have been using ON1 for a few months now. I recently did an upgrade and I have had nothing but problems. When I open it I go to the home page and it freezes and I get this banner:

ON1 Develop 2019 outside of this Application.
Click on ON1 Develop 2019 in dock and then press Apply or cancel inside of ON1 Develop2019 to this application.

I haven't got the faintest idea as to where to go from there. I tried accessing "HELP" and I'm only directed go a list of possible issues, none of which are helpful. Does anybody have any ideas? Your feedback would be very much appreciated.

With my business I sometimes have to travel overnight. So what I do to protect my equipment is:
1) I keep a written copy in longhand and on my cell phone of the equipment that I have with me, make, model, and serial number.

2) If the motel has a safe, I leave it there.

3) When I carry my stuff I have a padded blanket like the ones that movers use to protect furniture. I put my equipment behind the back seat of my truck and cover it with the blanket to avoid evoking temptation.

4) As a licensed business operator I have my equipment insured so its covered by my business insurance, homeowner's, and auto.

Is you equipment film or DSLR. If by any chance your equipment is Canon compatible I might be interested in buying it from you.

Here's one that tops them all. I took a day trip, a considerable distance from my house specifically to take some scenic photos. Before leaving home I got everything prepared in my backpack, lenses, tripod, filters, everything. But only to find when I got there, of all things I forgot my camera. How could I be so dumb. I must be getting senile.

For my mono-pod needs, instead of buying an expensive mono-pod I still have my cheap plastic tripod that I used when i was first learning how to shoot. So, when I need a mono-pod I take my old tripod, tie it together with a bungee chord, extend only one leg, and here I have a mono-pod.

What demographics would purchase a new DSLR verses a new Mirrorless camera? I believe the DSLR is dying!

I'm sure that mirror less has features that are beyond state of the art. But speaking for myself, before I even consider buying mirror-less equipment I will wait a few years for the price to drop. Like any new gadget that hits the market you're paying for R&D and promotion. Secondly I have invested hundreds of dollars in equipment and I'm not about to invest any more.

This google search result gives a wide selection of sources for using HDR in Real Estate photography:

This one seems to cover it all in a good way.

I am not a real estate photographer but a retired guy with lots of time and will research and try many types of photography when I get tired of birds, butterflies, flowers, trains and macro.

I just did a shoot for a family friend who's selling their house by owner. to post in the real estate flyer. So, I set my my camera to -3 0 +3. Needless to say developing them has been a challenge. A common problem I'm having with most of them is that there is a blue hue on the shadows. And I don't know what to do to correct it. I've tried everything. I'm open to any ideas.

Great topic. I have been a member of Find-a-Grave almost since its inception. When I retire (soon) I will spend more time fulfilling grave site photo requests. I have been to a couple of cemeteries that actually have changed their policy about people coming in and taking photos because of the new rush to photograph graves. I find thata cell phone or bridge camera is handy in these cases. I always print out the online request for photo and carry it with me in case I get questioned by proprietor.

I too like to shoot cemeteries. But as for myself, growing up in a Jewish tradition, I am aware of the fact that these places are hallowed ground and must be respected as such. So, my cemeteries of choice are those that are a hundred years old or older. And I shoot the in a way that promotes honor, reverence, and respect.

I'm looking to buy an all around lens to use for impromptu shots when I'm driving or walking around, but not for specified use. In short a "workhorse" lens. Right now for that those purposes I'm using a Canon 18 - 55mm kit lens (which is for the birds) and an old Canon 28 - 80 lens which vinyets excessively when I extend it. I am open to any ideas.

I do real estate photography. And the bulk of my work involves acerage, farm land, subdivisions, oil fields, etc. Therefore I need to invest in a drone. Do any of you folks have any suggestions as to what brand, ease (or difficulty of operation), FAA requirements, or anything else I need to know? Your feedback would be very much appreciated.
