Thanks for relying so quickly.
I did contact the seller, this is their reply.
"As it mentions it is a Canon EOS mount."

I have tried google, but still unsure.

I hope you can help.
I am interested in purchasing a wide angle lens for my Canon T1i and found this Canon EOS 20-35mm lens for sale on eBay.
Question Will this fit on my camera?

I am on a budget and always looking for a bargain!

Thanks
Geoff

So I was looking at our photo contests and realized we haven't had one in awhile and I just wondered if anyone was interested in participating if I got one going?

I was thinking maybe a Wildlife theme for one where it could be any wildlife, but no shots taken at the zoo, and could be taken in the last year (I just thought these stipulations would make it more fair). What do you all think? I am interested in ideas, opinions, and whether or not you all would like to get some contests started here again.

If you yourself would like to open a contest please feel free to do so I think it would be great to have more of them going.
So I was looking at our photo contests and realize... (show quote)

Great idea Tea8.
Does the wildlife theme include shots of the wife when she finds out how much I am spending on camera gear?

Did you perhaps leave vr on even though you were shooting on a tripod?

Thanks bogeyeliot
This will probably seem a dumb question, but what is vr and why would it make a difference when the camera is on a tripod?

I have only been a member of this forum for a month now and have posted a few questions.
Your advice has helped so,oooooo much I thought I needed to thank you all.

My posts .
1. Digitizing old photo's. I will buy an Epson scanner as most of you recommended.
2. What tripod. I have just purchased a Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod and a used 498RC2 Ball Head to fit on it.
I used it last night for some sunset photo's, it was so stable. Shame about the photo's !
3. Spots. I now take the UV filter off when shooting into the sun.

Just one problem, I joined this forum to help me learn more about my new hobby and have found that the more I learn the less I know!!
The attached photo's are proof.

Critique please & please go easy on me I am new to this!

Thanks again to all you Hogger's out there.

Mornin' everyone: Last night I used my newly purchased Nikon D3100 with 70-300 mm zoom lens. I mostly used the live view, so I could see what I was shooting. Used "Auto" setting. Likely shot about 150 photos, then my battery started to go down, next thing I know it's showing red. I thought these batteries would last for ages. Brand new battery also.
Anyone got any suggestions for me. :-(

Hi Candle57, should have bought a Canon!

Sorry I couldn't resist it!

Seriously though I always purchase a second battery as a back up. There is nothing more annoying and upsetting than having a battery run out on you.

I went out with a friend to get some shots of sunset over Lake Minneola.
Some of the shots have red spots on them.
I think they may be from the UV filter I leave on to protect the lens.

Any ideas on what caused them.

What make/type of tripod should I buy?

I have a Targus TGT-58TR that I used for my Canon SX20is, it was fine for that camera.
I have tried it with my Rebel T1i but it feels flimsy and shakes every time I touch the camera.

Also

I am making a wish list of things I need and a list of things I want.
Any recommendations/ideas?

Thanks for all the advice.

I will forget the Ion Photo Negative and Slide Converter and will probably look for an Epson photo scanner on eBay.
