I bought a great pattern book but it’s written in oriental language I can’t read.

Most of the asian knitting books have charts.
And you can use this site to translate the legend.

I have no idea when DH & I will get our vaccinations; we are now waiting for the production of the Vaccinations within Australia, and only getting a small amount from O/S; which are at risk of the shipment being stopped!

I am being harassed by Mint, to give her some playtime, as I was gone for most of the day; so I am heading outside for a short time, because she can only cope with short playtimes now; she is getting old now! xoxoxo

I'm hoping to get my shot sometime in April, but that could change based on vaccine supply, because we get all our vaccine from overseas too. We only do the research for the vaccine technology and make some of the components of the vaccines.
I have to carry Bella-kitty up the stairs now. She usually gets to the first landing and flops over huffing and puffing like an old steam engine.

You should put a a video camera somewhere in your yard; so that interested people, who love watching animals around the world, can watch them; just have anything that can be tracked to find your location! I would watch them! xoxoxo

I'll see what I can do.

That is looking very good, can't wait to see it finished. I have finally been able to do some spinning again, and it worked very well; so I am hoping to get a couple of different fibres spun, so that I can hopefully make myself a couple of nice tops, hopefully will be ready by summer time, when that comes again .... that is what I hope anyway!😁🤣 xoxoxo

DD just finished a shawl and a blanket from her own drop spindle homespun.

Everything went just peachy. I can't believe I've lived this long without a generator. xoxo

I don't have a generator, but I do have 2 power stations (Big heavy batteries in a carry box with lots of connectors and plugs). I can't run anything big like the furnace fan, but I can keep my laptop and ipad running for several days.

Mum just got a call from Stuart. He's done something to his back and can't get out of bed. He wants her to come over and unlock his front door so the paramedics can take him to the hospital.

Hello everyone. I've had a busy day today. I went to Karen's today and we had some hot chocolate and then later this afternoon Marg came up for tea and chocolates (she brings her own tea) and eats my chocs, which I don't mind cos she does plenty for me. Then I finished it off with a video watts app with Josephine. I've been catching up with Karen and Andrew as to what dates we can start our road map of getting back to some normality. I think sometime in April, community centers can be used. Well, that could mean a knitting session.

I'm a bit concerned about this row with EU over the vaccines. It looks like if there's any trouble, then Stephen and Richard could be waiting a long time for their jab. Why do countries have to go on like this when we are all in the same kind of trouble?

I've got to send my power bill reading in to the suppliers today. Before I forget.

Oh forgot to tell you. Marg went to sainsburys this morning and when she was walking round, she noticed she had odd shoes on......one navy and the other black. She's very tired lately. I hope she's not losing the plot as well as me. Cos we'd both be up the Swanee without a paddle.

Love yawl. Stay safe. Xxx

We're in the same waiting line for vaccine here. I thought the AstraZeneca was produced in England?
Marg was right in style. All the kids here where different socks and different shoes. I suffer from 2nd sock syndrome unless I do 2-at-a-time so I could do that fashion trend.

Bentley was fine at the fets, it's only 5 mins away by car and as he goes twice a year he's getting used to it. Gave him a few treats when we got home and he's happy.

Laundry done and I've made a pile of peanut butter cookues and a Victoria sponge filled with butter icing and lemon curd.

I'll pass on the peanut butter cookies, they've never been a favourite of mine, but I'll gladly share a piece of your Victoria sponge. Yummy.
I'm glad to hear Bentley was a good kitty at the vets.

I'm going to sign off and make a pot of tea. I think it's going to be "one of those days". It's starting that way.
Have a good day and stay safe.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:42 am EDT and 9'C (48'F). It rained all night and thundered occasionally, waking me up several times. This is our high temperature for the day. It will be dropping all day. We also have a special weather warning for 40mm of rain in 24 hours.
Our new covid number is 2380. Positivity is 4%. Experts are asking for a provincial shutdown again. 50% of the new cases are variants. We have 2 more cases in this area.
We have managed to vaccinate 75K people in this province yesterday. 11% of the population has received at least one shot. Our shipment of Moderna has been delayed by 3 days but 30K vaccination appointments are still available for next week. Toronto has opened a drive through vaccination clinic in the parking lot of the theme park north of Toronto. It looks like we will be vaccinating the migrant agricultural workers who come to this country to help with our growing season. Last year we had problems with some farmers who had to workers go into the fields before their quarantine period was up. We have rapid tests for the variants first detected in the UK and Brazil, so people don't have to wait a week to find out if they have a variant case.
I missed a parking lot knitting session last night. Our temperature got up to 18'C (64'F), setting a new record warm temperature. I didn't get the email until the end of the session. Only 4 people showed up, so I'm thinking a lot of people didn't get the email in time. It would have been nice to sit and knit outside with others.
I broke a plate this morning that shattered all over the kitchen. I swept up what I can see. I'll run the vacuum over the floor once everyone is up.
I started the next colour on my summer tee (gray).
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is... (show quote)

Your tee is looking good! Hope you get to the Knit Night-in-the-car-park next week, it will do you good to be face to face, (well, not quite!) with some fellow knitters!! xxxx

It's easier to seam up if the edges are straight and flat from blocking, but I have managed seaming wavy edges without getting a pucker.
Congratulations on your "finishing" day.

I have to say, it's not going well! Sewed up most of it before I realised I had half of it twisted! Fortunately, I had crocheted the seam to it was easily undone! Now to start again! Measure twice.........!! xxxx
