Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:42 am EDT and 9'C (48'F). It rained all night and thundered occasionally, waking me up several times. This is our high temperature for the day. It will be dropping all day. We also have a special weather warning for 40mm of rain in 24 hours.
Our new covid number is 2380. Positivity is 4%. Experts are asking for a provincial shutdown again. 50% of the new cases are variants. We have 2 more cases in this area.
We have managed to vaccinate 75K people in this province yesterday. 11% of the population has received at least one shot. Our shipment of Moderna has been delayed by 3 days but 30K vaccination appointments are still available for next week. Toronto has opened a drive through vaccination clinic in the parking lot of the theme park north of Toronto. It looks like we will be vaccinating the migrant agricultural workers who come to this country to help with our growing season. Last year we had problems with some farmers who had to workers go into the fields before their quarantine period was up. We have rapid tests for the variants first detected in the UK and Brazil, so people don't have to wait a week to find out if they have a variant case.
I missed a parking lot knitting session last night. Our temperature got up to 18'C (64'F), setting a new record warm temperature. I didn't get the email until the end of the session. Only 4 people showed up, so I'm thinking a lot of people didn't get the email in time. It would have been nice to sit and knit outside with others.
I broke a plate this morning that shattered all over the kitchen. I swept up what I can see. I'll run the vacuum over the floor once everyone is up.
I started the next colour on my summer tee (gray).

Sorry you had to miss the knitting session last night, especially with such nice weather. Your tee is looking great! xxxooo

Good morning from a still dark and chilly 39F Seattle area. Meeting up with a friend for coffee and a visit this morning, then nothing much else planned for today so will get on with some knitting or something. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

Hello girls, no news again. Andrew went to the pie shop (isn't life full of adventures?) -and brought me a pie home. I'd had lunch so I'll have it tomorrow. Margaret is at her sons and that's my news. It's a bit chilly and windy but dry. It was raining heavens hard this morning.

I'm trying to decide if I might go to Stephens this weekend or not. I know snow has been mentioned.

Stay safe love yawl. Xx

Cartoon in New Yorker shows man’s feet like he’s dead face down and old lady taken away by policeman. The other policeman says “she went for a cup of tea and when she came back the last puzzle piece was in the puzzle.” Shows the Finished puzzle on the table.

That so relates. I was once halfway through a 3000 piece puzzle and one of my bros put a piece in. I wasn't sure which bit so I broke the whole thing up and started again. They never did that again!
