Sending you calming hugs Polly xxxxx

Thank you...they helped. I saw the doctor and she sent me for bloodwork tomorrow before noon. Hard to get up and hard to fast. Last night I took my cancer pill at 4 am so took it before midnight tonight. Hope that was ok. Forgot to ask. But I’m calmer. So appreciated the hugs.and good wishes.

I don't recognize any of them. I haven't read a physical book in years, I think. I can't remember the last book that I read.
I used to always have a book in my hand when I was a kid.

I find books take my mind off what is going on and holding one comforts me. Knitting does that too. My friends use books on iPad but iPad is uncomfortable for me. I don’t read serious books just mysteries that happen in yarn shops or embroidery stores. Once in a while I read about a person I’m interested in. Mostly people who become heroes or rich since I am neither.

I'm sure stress causes grey hairs, there seemed to be an awful lot of grey came off mine although not a lot shows in what's left, not that there's much left, it's short, very short. We had our fish yesterday so sausages today. Have you got rid of all your snow now? xx

I have never seen so many grey haired women as now. My friends have decided not to go blond again. Actually they look just as nice grey. I was the only grey one in our group. When I read about your sausages yesterday I start4d to crave sausages. Bet they were delish.

My brother naturally had blonde hair around his ears and darker brown hair everywhere else when he was a kid. Mum kept his hair short when she was cutting it, so it looked like the area around his ears had been shaved as it looked like he didn't have hair there.
Now that he is older, the area around his ears is white, and his beard has white on either side of his chin. I guess he has always been "patchy".
Some of the current style are quite striking, but an older person wouldn't be caught with them.

Young people are daring. If an old lady like me did it they would think I’d gone senile.

I periodically attach my iPad to my big desktop and copy all my patterns to the big computer. I have an external harddisk backup on that desktop and backup software that copies a 2nd copy. I don't want to copy everything on my iPad to the cloud, because you can send everything up for free, but they usually charge you to get it back.
I've finally found all the settings on the New Ravelry, so I don't get headaches anymore. I turned off all the bouncing balls and other silly animations and turned down the colours. It really is geared to young people now. So sad.

I’m going to ask son if he can do that for me. Good idea to layer clothes and bring a bag.

Do you have some really big bulky yarn. You could try arm-knitting while you are waiting to heal.
Pizza's heat well in the oven, even if stone cold. (We once had a pizza delivery guy fight through the drifts at our old house to deliver a stone cold pizza. It was revived in the oven quite nicely.)
I woke up to a cat poo in my bed. Apparently the turd was stuck to Bella-kitty's bottom when she jumped onto my bed. I'm just thankful I didn't roll onto it and really make a mess.
Oh, and DD continued her bout of food poisoning by communing with the porcelain bowl at 3 or 4 in the morning. She doesn't do anything quietly. (DD had food poisoning earlier this week and has had problems with her stomach almost every night this week.)
TMI???

I hadn’t thought of arm knitting thanks for that idea. I bought a small loom where you pick the yarn over the tab. I thought I might be able to do that but today she said I don’t need the covering so maybe tomorrow I’ll try to regular knit just a bit. A one minute mistake and a one week ache. Sheesh.
Bella-kitty and DD are giving you bad moments. Sorry to hear that. If you think the store food was bad did you tell them or would it do no good? I don’t think pizza can be ruined. I’ve been asking for less cheese and sauce to decrease the salt. I think I may have a kidney stone. Having blood test and urine sample tomorrow. Might tell something needs fixing.

Good morning all from a sunny Norfolk, still not all that warm but no wind so far today so should be OK. Lots of things planned (in my mind) to do today like ironing and watering the garden, we've had barely any rain this month (4mm) and all the earth is cracking. Not sure if these will get done but just maybe, if not knitting here I come. Have a lovely weekend but stay safe. xx

The little girl next door has learned how to squeal so I have closed the window on her a few times. I don't mind the sounds of her siblings playing. It's just her tone.

I don't tolerate the high pitch sounds, from any source. I have hearing damage from multiple chest infections, which affected my ears, as a child; now the higher pitch voices give me pain; but I don't hear them very well, I only hear the deeper voices! It took a while to work out what was wrong with my hearing; as the tests are usually done in a sound proof cubicle, and that is where I can hear almost everything perfectly, so the last test I had done was done differently, but I don't really remember how it was done; but it showed that the cilia that identifies the high pitched sounds, was totally flat, so couldn't identify any sound, but the rest of my hearing is fine, so far!🤔🤨 xoxoxo

Over here you don't have a choice of which vaccine you get, but, most of the Pfizer is being administered in Toronto. This area is predominately Moderna, because the Moderna vaccine travels better. The pharmacies have AstraZeneca (India and US version) exclusively.
I wonder if anyone has investigated if a different component was used in the India and US version than the vaccine produced in England?

There have been 3 people with the blood clotting, after having the AstraZeneca, and one person has died, she was 48! I think if one has a condition that can cause clotting, then I would think that the AstraZeneca would not be given to that person ..... whatever the age! I won't be having it anyway; but I will be asking about having a different one; and see what happens!🤔🤨 xoxoxo

I had a quick call from my boss yesterday. Apparently some of my male counterparts were complaining that I was taking all the easy incidents and not leaving any work for them. I didn't mention to him that they don't appear until after 11 and I HAVE grabbed most of the incidents by that time. I did leave a fair amount yesterday, not my fault that they didn't like the ones that I left them. That's his problem. He was worried that there were incidents for the Health department that needed to be looked at immediately. There turned out that there were only 4 issues, so 2 per guy and that was taken care of in less than 15 minutes.

Those workers should get used to beginning work earlier in the day, as they would do if they were actually working in the office; then they would get the entire range of the work that comes in!😁🤔 xoxoxo

I wish the tv news people would condense. They go on and on so wordy. I want to say get to the point. I guess they need to fill up an hour of tv time.

The Networks need to employ the people who know how to condense their reporting, at the correct times! xoxoxo

Good morning from sunny Surrey. Just back from having my second jab. Very efficient, in and out in less than 10 mins.

Had some bad news yesterday, gs1 in France has come off his motorbike and broken his leg. He had an op last night and will be in hospital until Monday. Spoke to him this morning, it's painful but he's in good spirits.

Happy Thursday everyone and stay safe xxx

So glad your gs is much better now! His leg will be better soon! xoxoxo

Good morning all from a bright and sunny London, so glad it's not a gloomy, doomy day for the Duke's funeral, weather-wise, anyway. It's currently 14.8'C!!

I have to go and buy cooking apples shortly, to make my SIL an apple pie for his birthday tomorrow and then, actually make the pie. Apart from that, nothing much on the agenda so just the usual.

Have a good one everybody keep staying safe, the end is in sight!!

Angela and Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about the recent shootings in your state but don't let it bring you down, the world is a beautiful place!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
