Good morning from sunny Surrey. Bought some plants yesterday so today is a gardening day. Had afternoon tea at DDs and saw their balcony they have just made. It gives them lovely views across the fields across to the lake.

Spoke to gs1 his op went fine but it will be a long recovery time because of the double break and kmee damage to his leg. I was told that had he not been wearing all the right gear it could have been so much worse.

Happy Saturday everyone and stay safe xxx

I'm sorry to hear that about Mr C, I really hope things go better and faster than predicted. Were the breaks above or below the knee? Takes me back to when my DS had a motorbike accident at the age of 17(his fault) broke both femurs, his left ankle and smashed his right fib and tib to pieces, plates, pins, the lot. BUT he recovered really well and no lasting effects, even 32 years later! Hope this is a comfort!! xxxx

Thanks June. He has broken his tibia in 2 places, one clean break and the other rather messy, he also dislocated his knee. Luckily he had kevlar trousers and reinforced boots and a steel plate in the back if his jacket. I just hope he gives himself time to recover. I'm afraid he's just like his Dad!
But thanks for your kind thoughts he's fit and strong so hopefully will be ok. Xx

Good morning from a still dark and 48F Seattle area. Supposed to be sunny and get up around 75F here today. Yesterday was a lovely sunny 68F. Woke up around 2 a.m. and couldn't sleep so finally decided to just get up. Very quiet around here. Not a thing planned for today, so will take it as it comes and get on with some knitting. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

So sorry he has such a multitude of injuries in his legs. I am sure the rest of his body is also sore. Sending him and you calming and healing vibes.

Just went to a local town for some cooking apples, the stall holder only had 5 massive apples, total weight 6lbs, and he gave them all to me for £1!!! That's a lot of pies, crumbles, cobblers etc.!!!

Morning from my sunny cool little corner of the world. My excitement for today will be putting away the groceries he picks up from the drive thru, drying and folding two loads of laundry, doing the dishwasher duty, and finding the roomba. I am sure I will find time for puzzling and knitting. When did my life become so boring? Oh yes, it happened about a year ago.
The news suggests that some of the 6 or 7 women with blood clots that might be from Johnson and Johnson may have been taking birth control pills.
In my area there continues to be appointments for the other vaccines that are not being filled. Many places have gone to walk in vaccination. No appointment needed. So many people still refusing to be vaccinated.
May everyone enjoy a wonderful cheerful Saturday.

Well..I think I'm getting dafter in my old age. In fact I'm sure I am. I've been watching prince Philips funeral because I know I'm a royalist at heart. I felt so sad for the queen. She looked so alone, and lost. At least I had my family sitting with me. I was upset to see all of them following the coffin. I watched the service and noticed that this virus leaves no one untouched. They were there with their masks on.

I'm a lover of William and Harry, because they lost their mam when they were kids as did I. I watched harruys wedding and thought my own thoughts and up until now I've been proved right. Well I was sad that he was apart from William and Cathryn. But hey, just as they were getting out of the service, he was with William, and Cathryn, talking and being together. This is the stupid bit....I wanted to cry, I was so happy to see it happen. They were talking away with each other. Some good comes out of every misfortune doesn't it. I feel for the queen. She doesn't know what's hit her yet. I'm sure she'll be well looked after by the family.im sure lots of you don't agree with me. But I think it will take an awful lot to come between those brothers. It was a very nice funeral, as funerals can be nice.

S had his jab today and I kept texting him to see if he was ok. No answer......I texted Richard and asked if dad was ok, or having a reaction and he said, oh he's moaning at everything and everybody and in a fowl mood...so it seems he's normal then.

I'm going to do a jigsaw when I've read up on UH. Love yawl xxx stay safe .

We met baby daddy yesterday. This one seems nice and gentle. He best be, that's all I have to say on that! Jen is trying to get an apartment but she doesn't have any credit so they keep turning her down. She's going to move in somewhere with baby daddy and let him babysit while she works.... When did this world get so backwards.?

I don't take vitamins as they make me nauseous too.. That's too much for my tummy.

Keep hearing on the news that Johnson and johnson single shot vaccine has caused 6 deadly blood clots in some folks, one of those who died was a friend of Jen's. Anyone else hear of this more?

No.....and I don't think it's anything to be scared of.it wouldn't put me off. Can you rember in the sixties, there was the birth control pill ? There were risks with that. I think everything has a risk factor, we gotta go with something......

I thought exactly the same when I saw the three of them chatting at the end, I'm sure it made them think that The Duke would have wanted them to be close. I wonder if the Queen was better off on her own, someone holding her hand or saying something comforting, might have set her off and she'd have lost her dignity!! Philip did a wonderful job of organising that lot, I bet he was pleased with the result!! xxxx
