Son got his second shot yesterday. Sore arm and that side of his body had discomfort. I get my second shot Sunday. He says his body feels better tonight
The New Yorker magazine came today and there’s a 6 page article about Ravelry. I only had time to read the first 2 pages. It was quite interesting. I’ll finish it tomorrow.

It will be nice to have accomplished both your injections. The second shot comes with some peace of mind.
The article in the New Yorker sounds interesting. The only article I found from the New Yorker and knitting had to do with the woman's march and the knit hats that everyone wore. Remember those pink flat top hats?

I glad it worked well for you. Peace of mind just knowing it is there in case of need.

Good morning from a grey and wet Surrey. Nothing much planned for today so I will have a potter with my seedlings and put some wildflower seeds in the garden.

Happy fish Friday everyone and stay safe xxx

Morning. Have fun playing in the garden in the rain.

Same here. I live up to you zodiac sign.

Long drive today, but I will be glad to get home. Two photos from friends.

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:42 am EDT and 9'C (48'F). It rained all night and thundered occasionally, waking me up several times. This is our high temperature for the day. It will be dropping all day. We also have a special weather warning for 40mm of rain in 24 hours.
Our new covid number is 2380. Positivity is 4%. Experts are asking for a provincial shutdown again. 50% of the new cases are variants. We have 2 more cases in this area.
We have managed to vaccinate 75K people in this province yesterday. 11% of the population has received at least one shot. Our shipment of Moderna has been delayed by 3 days but 30K vaccination appointments are still available for next week. Toronto has opened a drive through vaccination clinic in the parking lot of the theme park north of Toronto. It looks like we will be vaccinating the migrant agricultural workers who come to this country to help with our growing season. Last year we had problems with some farmers who had to workers go into the fields before their quarantine period was up. We have rapid tests for the variants first detected in the UK and Brazil, so people don't have to wait a week to find out if they have a variant case.
I missed a parking lot knitting session last night. Our temperature got up to 18'C (64'F), setting a new record warm temperature. I didn't get the email until the end of the session. Only 4 people showed up, so I'm thinking a lot of people didn't get the email in time. It would have been nice to sit and knit outside with others.
I broke a plate this morning that shattered all over the kitchen. I swept up what I can see. I'll run the vacuum over the floor once everyone is up.
I started the next colour on my summer tee (gray).

This was the only article I could find,
https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2021/03/29/how-politics-tested-ravelry-and-the-crafting-community
It didn't say much about Ravelry. I guess I needed the physical version of the New Yorker magazine.

Cartoon in New Yorker shows man’s feet like he’s dead face down and old lady taken away by policeman. The other policeman says “she went for a cup of tea and when she came back the last puzzle piece was in the puzzle.” Shows the Finished puzzle on the table.

No one would try that in this house.

Good morning all from a grey and overcast London, 11'C here today but it feels chilly to me!

Had a 'finishing' day yesterday, first the puzzle and then last night, I finished the knitting part of my cardigan. I now have to piece it together but the pattern tells me I should block it first. However, the body of the cardigan is in one piece and is heavy, not sure how I can block that!! I may settle for giving it a quick wash once it's all sewn up and see what happens!!

Have a lovely day and please stay safe! Lots of love to you all! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's easier to seam up if the edges are straight and flat from blocking, but I have managed seaming wavy edges without getting a pucker.
Congratulations on your "finishing" day.

Good morning all from a windy but sunny-ish Norfolk. It was raining for a bit when I got up and for a split second thought it was snowing but it was the white blossom from all the trees blowing past the window. No fish today, lamb chops done in a pot, all ready to go in the oven. Will try and get my first afghan finished today maybe and of course knitting. Have a good safe day. xx

I like when our Wedding Confetti bush at the back of the house does that. It does look like confetti.
We had lovely breaded fish and herbed shoestring fried potatoes last night. So no fish for us tonight either.

I even like Lake Ontario when it's grey and loud with huge waves pounding against the beach and rocks, and the wind blowing my hair around my face.

Picture from internet. Cars aren't allowed on the pier anymore as the concrete is crumbling.

That's great that you are getting your second shot!
We've extended time between the shots now to 6 months. The long-term residents have already had their 2nd shot, and experts say they are the people who needed their 2 shots in the specified time, but the rest of us will have to do with 70% efficacy against the virus that comes with the first shot.

Happy Friday.
I planted some seed yesterday. In a pot. I put wheat seed in a pot to grow cat grass for Princess. Her avocados are not growing fast enough and she wants some plants to shred. My cats are spoiled!!!
