Osprey enjoying a fresh fish dinner. Technically is was on Black Friday, which explains why there was a seagull and a few blackbirds wait for leftovers.

I got the R6 a coule months ago. I love it. low light performance is incredible. There is significant vingnet on my 24-240 at 240, but it's easily fixed in post processing. How does the EFS 10-22 work with the adapter? I know it will fit, but have read that the image is cropped by the camera to about 8 mega pixel since the lens cant fill the full frame sensor.

My wish list is the sigma 12-14, reported to be the widest rectilinear lens availabe for full frame. Or maybe the RF16 if it ever becomes in stock again.

I had a dickens of a time getting my 150-600C to focus on my Canon 7Dii. Some shots were sharp but most were just a little soft. I got a little better results after tweaking the focus parameters with the docking station. What really made all the different was updating the firmware on my 7D. After I did that I reset the lens back to factory default.

Its a great lens but you have to learn to work with its limitations. Focus is not that fast. Be patient. Capturing a bird in flight is a matter of luck at 600mm, but I have had some success at shorter focal lengths.

Note - I bought the lens for birding but really like it for taking sailing shots from the dock.
- At 600mm, try to keep the exposure at 1/1000 or faster
- Use a monopod/tripod
- avoid shooting wide open

Yes I am late to post my Jupiter/Saturn conjunction pic. It was cloudy, so this was what I got. This pic is only slightly edited from what came out of the camera.

I received this as a gift in 1978. Been in storage for about 20 years. Last time it was used it all worked fine but not now. I put fresh batteries in it to test it but the shutter sticks open so should be considered for parts. The light meter works. All the glass is clean and in very good condition. No scratches of fungus.
Included:
OM-2 body
Olympus 50mm f1.8 lens
Olympus 28mm f2.8 lens
Vivitar 70-210 f3.5 macro zoom lens
leather case for body
instruction book
Dark green Naugahyde hard case (just screams early 80s!) that will hold 2 bodies and 4 lenses.

I'd like to get $100 for everything. Buyer pays actual shipping cost. If that's too high then make me an offer. I'd much rather it go to someone than sit in my closet.

When I shoot regattas I usually use a 15-85 or 70-200L. The 15-85 is perfect for shooting crew or other boats that are a few boat lengths away. The 70-200 is a bit long for shooting anyone in the boat (maybe a head shot) but is perfect for most competitors.

I only trying bringing my Sigma 150-600 once. I found it very challenging to frame a shot due to boat movement.

Your shot looks great - would love to see it original size.

Check the firmware on your camera as well.

I had some problems with my new Sigma 150-600 on my canon 7Dii. It seemed to work well on my wife's M50 with adapter. On the 7Dii It seemed to like to focus a few inches behind what I wanted it to focus on. I tinkered with adjustments with the dock and did get some improvement. What finally made the lens perform as well as it should was an update to the firmware in the 7Dii. I reset all the adjustments back to factory and now it is great.

We took a little vacation to Ft Davis in June. Last night there we drove to Marfa to observe the lights. No one knows what those things are but they are interesting. Viewing site in on Hwy 90 9 miles east of town.

Drive into Ft Davis and enjoy a meal at the Fort Davis Drugstore.

Take the scenic drive around Davis Mountains Scenic loop.

Skies in the area are very dark and excellent for astro photography. Go when there is no moon.

An unexpected thunderstorm coming in during today's race. Wind went from 10 knots to gusts of 38. The worst of it passed to the north and we only had some light rain.

Know why a giraffe's neck is so long? Because his head is so far from his body.

Was having a lot of trouble with my new Sigma 150-600C. Everything was too soft. After upgrading the firmware in the camera (Canon 7D2) the focus is much better - it is capable of razor sharp images. Keeper rate is still probably only 10% or less. I was ready to send the lens back but now I think its more me than the lens. These are some I thought were ok.
