I know your plight! Been there … anyway it seem you lack the most basic lens used generally. Nikon 24-70 2.8 is a work horse. Switching lens during a wedding is tough. The other lens I might take would be the 70-200 mm either Nikon or Tamron for covering those distant shots or to shoot portraits from the dance floor edges.

These are great suggestions. If money is an issue you can always rent lenses for practice and the actual event.

There's a treasure trove of wedding photography tutorials on YouTube: tips, tricks, cameras, lenses, posing, venues, essential shots, beginner lessons and things not to do. I'd watch and rewatch everything I could about it there. It will open your mind to things you never knew or expected. Good luck.

Thanks. Didn't think about Home Depot. Amazon is a great resource, I was most interested in first-hand accounts from other photographers to help my purchasing decision because a lot of them are expensive.

All great ideas, jdubu. The restaurant cart is especially interesting. Thanks.

Thanks very much for the photo. The only items I'd need to add are lightstands.

You will have to decide whether the beach will be included in your shoots. A standard wagon with thinner wheels will feel as if it's being dragged on loose sand. I use a collapsible wagon from Costco that meets my on location portrait work that I purchased in the spring for $50.00.

Beach worthy wagons can be found on Amazon for approximately $130.00 with wider wheels.

Minnesota does have it's lakeside beaches. And this cart style seems to be one of the most popular. I am leaning toward this design if I can find one with the largest capacity.

Thanks for that suggestion, I haven't seen that type of cart before.

Anyone have experience with or recommendations for a cart to use on location shoots? Needs to hold a large camera bag, lighting case, collapsible background and reflectors, and various lightstands. One that's collapsible would be ideal.

I use Lightroom for tethering only. I use Bridge for all my culling and interface with PS. For me, Lightroom's interface and workflow is user-hostile.

I added a 6DII so I could use a 50mm lens for portraits in small spaces. It made otherwise difficult setups possible.

That's true. I am working toward going pro and and trying to work out my processes and procedures with customers.

What's the best way to deliver images from a portrait or headshot photoshoot?

I've been using the Canon Gateway for family and friends to do this, but what are some of the processes that today's customers desire or expect: Squarespace, Wix, Dropbox, Google Drive, thumb drive or something else? TIA.
