I believe pic #2 if Portland Headlight, not Pemaquid. Hope you enjoyed the trip.
Interesting but not appealing

Is this the Virgin River, if so a good bit of water for
this time of year.
The rose is a beauty but the skiffs are out of sight! Shapes,
colors and reflections. Great.
My first thought was "Oh Whow!" Beautiful
Rhodge: Shots of Camden are wonderful. when you live here
most of the time it is easy to forget how beautiful it is.
My wife wonders why I take fewer pics in the winter in Florida! Come to Islesboro and shoot more.
It sounds to me like what is being hashed is what are the
criteria on which posted shots are to be judged. Are we trying to take good, balanced photographs or shooting for
the artistic moon (no pun intended this week).
Suntomoon: I'm sorry it was your grandfather who had a
Corvair. I had two, don't remember the years. Last one
was British racing green with tan soft top, five on the floor
and turbo charged. Man, would she go! Probably couldn't
afford the gas now.
Look at WalMart. Price is definately right and I have had
excellent results. Upload in the morning, pick up in the
afternoon or ship for $.93.
Everyone has the right suggestions. Another with wonderful
photo ops is a pontoon boat trip down Black Canyon. The
trip starts from a point just South of Hoover Dam, includes
a nice box lunch and then bus ride back to one of the hotels
almost out to the Dam. A little different and great fun.
Beautiful shots all --but they look much too gentrified for
Northern New England. These are not working barns.
Silverhawk: Thanks for the Desert of Maine clips. Have been
passing there for sixty years (there is no longer a sign on 295) but
always head the other way to spend money at Beans!
Headed home soon.
I must need new eyeballs. I don't see any grainy.
I have read about "noise", I often change ISO settings but
totally fail to SEE what you mean by "noise" in these two
beautiful shots.
