Does anybody have any experience with putting photo's on canvas. I know that there are firms that do this for you. What are the least expensive? Thanks!

I usually use MPIX.com as they're really good and reasonably priced.

Something to take into consideration! make sure you do not crop too tight as they need about 3 inch borders! I had one made and didn't leave enough headroom on the photo which resulted in the persons head being VERY NEAR the top of the photo. Just saying!

I have done 4 canvas prints with Canvas on Demand -- AWESOME quality! I purchased Groupons -- $45 for 16x20 including shipping (a $126 value!). Check it out (these are offered on Groupon regularly!).

Look at WalMart. Price is definately right and I have had
excellent results. Upload in the morning, pick up in the
afternoon or ship for $.93.

I've used Art.com several times with great results. I didn't know Walmart did them too. I need to compare prices.

Are you going to print them yourself? If you want to print 8x10s, you can get inkjet printer canvas from Frederic's. You need a good inkjet printer. It is a bit tricky with the canvas feed into the printer. You need to tape a strip of card stock to the lead edge so it will grab. If you have a large format printer you can go as large as 11x17

I don't want to waste money on mistakes and I am not confident enough at this point to do it myself. I have also been told that the printers for doing it are very expensive. It may therefore be more cost effective to send it out. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will follow up on them.

I can understand your hesitation. FYI, I use an HP7280 All-in-One color printer. Not expensive. The canvas is about $22 for 10 sheets when you only buy one pack. You would need to do a UV treatment also. All in all, the cost to print is about $2.50/ea (not factoring in "printer malfunction", though that will happen, even with photo paper)
