I love the way the colors pop and add depth in the second shot.

I am sorry to say i also like the light one, i think it puts more emphasis on the flower as the dark one blends in with the background too much But as usual it is personal choice. Great shot tho

Having looked again try upping the contrast in the light photo and a vignette just on the corners to draw your eye into the picture as i find my eye straying down the left to the light soft focus stem
