You know, Michael's often does 70% off on custom framing. You might have come out better on this deal taking it to them. Like you said, at least you know what not to do next time.

It happens with a lot of plants. My mom's daylilies that come out in the early spring have long green leaves again on them. They don't have any buds, but after they put off the blooms and everything died off we cut them back and the green leaves came back out again. Like JD said, I think it happens if getting warmer weather again after you've gone through a cooler than usual period. Beautiful tree.

8 cruises under my belt and I don't even take my big camera. Honestly I never have. I took a bridge camera once and enjoyed having it, but I've enjoyed more my Nikon Coolpix that is waterproof and shockproof. I can take it on all of my beach day excursions without worry. (I bought one of the dry pouches for my phone for my cruise last month and I ended up just using my phone.)

Since you are set in taking the 7200 I would, as many have recommended, take the 16-300 and the 50. I have an 18-400 for my D5200 and I use it almost exclusively and if I ever do take my camera on a cruise it is the main one I would take with me. (It turned out to be the only lens I would use in Ireland a couple of years ago even though I brought a couple of others.) As long as you've got good light and a pretty steady hand you shouldn't need the tripod. Just remember that you are going to be out on the ocean and possibly beach. Be careful with your gear as you can get spray from the ocean in the wind and sand from the beach on your gear. Also be careful where you're getting your shots from on the ship. Some ships emit a black residue out of smokestacks that can blow in the air and settle on everything in it's way, which could also affect your gear. Other than that have an amazing time and shoot away.

Having had a bridge camera in the past I certainly wouldn't call the 12 Pro a bridge camera, but it definitely beats out my old kodak and HP point and shoot cameras that I first started learning photography on and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the pictures I wanted to capture with them. I don't use the HE setting on my 12 Pro since I had no way of being able to then open the files and work on them with my windows computer. However, I think the quality of the JPEGs it puts out are spectacular.

I guess I'm the only one who had the Nikon version of the Olympus TG. I think the Nikon ones are the Coolpix line. I love mine. I've had it at least 5 years. Haven't had the ability to use it much the last few years, especially with Covid and not being able to travel. I took mine on a couple of cruises where it was my only camera and it was the only camera I took with me to Australia, aside from my phone camera, in 2018 and I have no regrets about it. I've used it in and out of the water. I wouldn't consider that I get Masterpieces with it, but I do get to capture a lot of cool things that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. It's waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof, etc.

You may wish to consider Adobe Photoshop Elements which is an affordable software package that gets you into the Adobe universe and helps you become familiar with editing if you want to use Lightroom/Photoshop in the future.

I was going to suggest this as well. It's what I use all the time. I recently went from Elements 12 to Elements 21 here a few months ago and bought a book to go with it. They're not terribly different in the long run, but the newer one does run a bit better on my computer. There is definitely a learning curve, but having the book helps quite a bit to figure out things I can and want to do with the software. I went to NOLA a month ago as a Birthday trip and I've just now had time to sit down and start editing. I have been quite please at some of the edits I've been able to do with Elements. Plus for about $50 it's a one time buy and you can keep it and learn on it for years. Then if you decide you want to go cloud based with Lightroom or full Photoshop you can.

I have 4 Tamron lenses and have never had a contact error message with any off them and they are warranted for 6 years versus Nikons I believe 1 year. I also have never had any problems with my 5 year old Sigma. If my budget and domestic life allowed I might well use all Nikon. The G2 Tamron are extremely well made and I am more than pleased with them. I'll Stick with my TAMRON'S.

I was about to come say nearly the same thing. I've had the Tamron 18-400 since 2019 and never an issue with it on my Nikon 5200. During this time I've used this lens more than any of my others and it had traveled quite a bit. As others have said I would check and possibly clean the contacts on the camera and lens. I will also stick with my Tamron.

I used to run contests here once upon a time. It was fun at the time, but I started to get busy getting into a new career field and someone else wanted to take them over and run them so I gave it up. As long as people didn't take the ones here too seriously then it could be quite fun at time and you'd get to see a lot of interesting stuff from different photographers. Plus it was always peoples choice as the winner. Not sure if the system is still in place for all of that to happen here anymore or not.

I'm an OpTech user as well. Haven't ever had a problem with any of the straps or harnesses from them.

Did you want something that looked more realistic to mess with for the grandkids? If not I was just going to mention that with it being around Easter, Russell Stover's chocolates always puts out bars that have a very fake printed money on the cardboard wrapper around the bar and an Easter Bunny in the middle. You could always grab one of those and see if it would copy and then photoshop it to your hearts content. I feel like they did a million dollar bill cardboard wrapper once with a President on it because I think I cut it out and used it as a book mark for awhile. Might be fun to explore and see just how far the copier would go in what it thought could be an actual bank note.

I just got the new 2021 from the DVD as well. Installed it on my computer and it downloaded rather quickly. Then it showed I had an update that needed to download. The update took over 8 hours to complete and then adobe creative cloud showed up on my computer, which I didn't really like. Took the program forever to open up after all of that and the cloud kept wanting to open at the same time. I think I got a stop to that and shut the computer down for awhile. It seems to be working better.

I got a book for this version since I'm jumping so many versions and it says that this version holds a history of at least 50 edits done to each photo as you're working. Well that can cause the program to run at a snails pace if you're working for a long time. So if you were working at the time it started slowing down, perhaps that was the original cause

I have no explanation as to why it won't redownload to your computer. Surely it's not thinking that you're trying to install it on more than one computer. I think the suggestions so far cover the main things I would check for. Is your computer asking if you want to allow the program to make changes to your computer? I always have to allow it so things will bypass firewalls and anti-virus software. Maybe it's trying to install that huge update along with reinstalling the program which is why it appears to lock up. (Then again I'm probably the only one that update took 8 hours to install for because I have some of the slowest internet around. Seriously I might as well still be in the dial-up stage as poor as my internet speed is compared to the average around here.)

You get updates on your AE12? I can't remember the last time it showed I had an update for mine. I just got 2021 when it was on sale last week and so far I'm not noticing a lot of difference other than the fact they just want me to buy more things to go with it.

Sorry I can't help with that issue. I don't store my photos in the organizer and I've never had a problem with it finding or opening my files from where I keep them stored on my hard drive.

Thanks for letting us know about that. I had returned a gift I was sent and had been waiting to find something I wanted to use the return money on. That covered most of it. I haven't had a new Elements since 2013 so I am excited to get it and try it out.
