It is definitely a Killdeer. They nest on the ground and use that broken wing tactic to draw predators Away from the nest. We have lots of them here in KY

Cony, HP got into some legal trouble a couple of years back over their "photosmart" printers giving you "low Ink" messages when the tank was still 1/2 full. I have one and I continue to print until I see some sign of ink outage, like a dramatic color shift or banding. My cartridges go a LOT farther now.

I think that you may be throwing away pixels. With the resolution level of 960 on the long side, at 8 x 10, you only have 96 ppi. Thats enough for screen viewing but for printing it would look awful.

I believe Joe Arpiao (sheriff in AZ) had the right idea when he built a tent city jail in the desert. He said our trooops lived in tents in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, so why should criminals be treated better.

In Alinder's biography of Ansel Adams, she discusses "Migrant Mother". Ansel did not appreciate the image because it was not a "journalism" shot. Dorthea actually posed that image and shot a series of 6 shots of the lady and her girls. According to Alinder, Mrs. Thompson (and later, her daughters) did not like the image because it depicted her as helpless and hopeless, which was far from the strong independent woman she was.
Which story is correct? I'm not sure. I tend to believe Alinder because she actually worked with AA for the last years of his life and AA was personal friends with Lange.
