I live in LA, and I've bought cameras from them. I've never had a problem of any kind.

My only suggestion is to use the FZ200 all the time; I used one on several ocean cruises in Asia with great success. The constant 2.8 aperture is what you want indoors or on land in relative darkness. My other all-time favorite is an Olympus Stylus 1S, which I wrote a manual for some years ago. I use a walker and on a trip to South Africa this Christmas, largely to shoot wildlife, I'll take a used Sony RX100-M7 and a Fuji X-5 with a Fujinon 50-240mm lens. The viewfinder image of the X-5 makes it -- at 200mm worth the extra weight (about ½ pound extra) and cost on this once-in-a-lifetime cruise. When I'm not in a 4x4 vehicle on a game drive, I'll probably carry the Sony RX100 with me most of the time. If I fill the frame with my images, I can get 20x30" prints most every time.

If you're looking for portability and unobtrusiveness, the RX10 is like carrying a brick. I've owned both, and the RX100 (particularly the M7) is the way to go. Also, both go to f22, but the best results are obtained south of f16. The sensors and processing engines are very similar to each other. The battery life (especially in the RX100) is only 200-300 shots, but high-quality non-Sony batteries are about the size of a large postage stamp and cost about $10 each. Never shoot with less than two spare batteries in your pocket; you'll be fine.

The Sony RX100 M7 is a close-to-ideal choice. I have 20x30" prints around the house that demonstrates the efficacy of this family of cameras. I've owned them all but the M7 is best due to its 24-200mm lens and state-of-the-art fast focusing. I also have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use with a trio of lenses (10-24mm WR, 23mm f2 WR, XC 50-230mm) when special circumstances arise.

I'd only take the Sony RX100 plus a recent iPhone for Peru. The nice thing about your Scandinavian cruise is that you can leave gear in your room. On the cruises I'm going to take this year to Australia and Africa, I'm going to take the "Holy Trinity" of three fixed-length Fujinon lenses, each weighing 5-7 ounces; a 10-24mm zoom (15-36mm eq) weighing 14 ounces, and 18-135 mm zoom (27-200mm eq) weighing 17 ounces. The entire outfit fits into a Tamron bag that fits inside my carry-on, along with my meds. When off the ship, I only carry a lens mounted on my camera and one lens in my pocket. My wife shoots with only an iPhone 14 and can match me shot-for-shot in most situations. In bad weather, at the beach, or in dicey areas, the rule is: "Don't change lenses except indoors."

I doesn't do away with the scariest part of the process (and I've processed thousands of rolls): Threading the roll onto the reel in total darkness. Doing the in a changing bag is difficult. Also, the device is too expensive for home hobbyists. Back to the drawing board! It's a shame because this would sell nicely for $39.95 or less; it could even be "bundled" into camera sales. What's needed in an easier-to-use threading device and a single tank into which chemicals could be poured and discarded.

I'm the author of "The Compleat Olympus TOUGH TG-4 & TG-850 Cameras" (Amazon, 2015). In roughly six months of use, I never had a problem with the TG-4, and everything I've seen since then indicates that the TG-6 is unlikely to present problems with its seals and weatherproofing. It's merely a problem of how deep the cameras can go without the seals breaking down. As I remember, the conservative answer is "about 50 feet." I also recommend the TOUGH cameras as ideal for elementary schoolers and some in preschool. These cameras border on indestructible, and the photos in the book demonstrate their quality.

I'm assembling a photo group on one of the world's finest ships. The cruise offers game drives at six ports and various other photo opportunities. It will be on the Silversea Silver Spirit, Cape Town (round trip), from December 28, 2023, to January 20, 2024. The ship offers 12 dining locations for 604 passengers and free and extra-cost excursions in every port. Group members get a $300 shipboard credit and a Fujifilm Instax Link Wide Portable Color printer for every suite. For fares and other information, go to www.CruisesAndCameras.com.

Anything goes in art, any medium, any alterations, any AI too.

Photojournalism has ethical standards about photographing and changing reality, so top photojournalism contests now require the winning entrants to supply the unaltered raw file along with the submitted entry in order for the judges to certify there was no reality changed by AI, or PS alterations including replaced skies and layers. I am not sure what art photo contests do nowadays with all the post processing and AI. They likely allow much of it.

Cheers and best to you.

I agree with grwilliams6. Changing a sky with PS or a myriad of other photo software is just as deceptive as using AI software to create the image from scratch. As AI packages become more nuanced, perhaps contestants should enter AI creations in special categories broken down by the software they used. They should also disclose the text of the instructions they gave the software. I love the concept of revising ethical standards so that photojournalists and photo competition contestants submit their original "untouched" images and their final products. Images that weren't manipulated except by cropping and minor color shifts should be entered in a special "Untouched" contest category, and this fact should be recognized by attaching "Untouched" or "Altered" to all photo credits.

All countries, including ours, are affected by disasters or wars! Just look at TV news. Foreign travel and photography is one of the most mind-expanding activities available to us.

I've been paying attention to all the comments. I've just ordered a Fujinon 70-300mm zoom for the trips & I will be selling my 90mm f2 to balance the scales. Also, based on your collective advice, I'm looking for a pristine used X-T30 or an X-T3 for about $500. Thank you for all the assistance I received.

The funny thing is that I sold an S10 to get the money for the T5, and that was not the best thing to do. I love the S10 grip, but it's a bit more than I wanted to pay for a backup body. Also, it's about the same size and weight as the T5. Realistically, the E3 may be the wisest choice.
