In the 60's/70's my friends told me to always use Samy's because they were good! I've used B/H but with a bad experience I've been looking for another. Yo've just reminded me of Samy's and am grateful!

I was looking at some reviews. Sounds like they are the B&H of the left coast. Being from the East I didn’t know much about them.

I recently purchased a new OM-1 from them at a below market price, don’t understand why the price was so good, but everything about the sale was excellent. That was my second purchase from them. Roberts, Adorama, B&H, Crutchfield and MPB are my go to vendors. Good luck.

When Samy's in Santa Barbara, CA was still in business I did almost all my camera shopping there. The prices mimicked the larger stores in NYC and around the country and the staff did whatever possible to have happy customers. I wish they were still in business.

I know friends and other people who use Samy's Camera in Pasadena, CA. These include hobbyists and professional photographers. I've been there to look around. They seem professional and honest. Just ask them for details about the lens before buying it.

I've been going there for 23 years. My go to guy at Pasadena store is "Jason". He has sold me alot of equipment and also bought used equipment from me. Very great guy, extremely knowledgable, helpful and customer service oriented. I have bought from B&H and Adorama too, but not the face to face experience I get at Samy's. The Pasadena store is smaller and the L.A. store is muti-story. Haven't visited their other locations

Regrettably their San Francisco store closed following the pandemic. It was absolutely a first class shop with excellent knowledgeable staff, customer service, fair prices and tremendous inventory. It was highly regarded by local professional shooters and enthusiasts.

I bought a used Canon DSLR from Samys 0nline site and got a really nice looking one that seems it was hardly used. As an extra added bonus it also came with a nice Canon flash unit that wasn't shown on the camera listing.
So from my experience with them, I would definitely recommend them.
