I haven't but have met photographers recently while out shooting that use & are happy with them. But they live in Central to Northern New Jersey. No camera stores more local to your hometown?

I have purchased a Fujifilm X~T5 from Unique Photo as recently as this past December and had pre ordered a Nikon D850 when it was first released, they have a written policy on how they conduct business and I have no complaints. ~Kevin

Unique Photo in Fairfield is a large brick and mortar camera store (perhaps the largest) in NJ, and is an excellent source for all things photographic. I purchased my D800E from them, and many other things as well.

I live about 40 minutes from them. They have two retail stores. I have been to the one in Fairfield. It's a modern but very elaborate photography store. I've purchased a few items. I rate them and their staff very high.

Unique is the closest thing to a camera superstore in New Jersey. They are very reliable. While they're not in the same league as B&H with regard to their size, they are a very high quality full service store. I've bought many things from them over the years, and sold all my DSLR gear to them when I switched to mirrorless a couple of years ago. I do not recall reading about any significant customer complaints.

Very good camera store. I have been there several times -- about an hour from where I live in PA. They have an interesting thing they do. They have two classrooms where they hold classes often for only 10.00 per class. They then give the students a 10.00 chip which can be spent in the store essentially making the class free. They also do numerous trips to sporting events, wildlife refuges, etc. for class instruction and these can run anywhere from 25.00 to 100.00 depending on the event.

I have and they’re awesome. It’s like a small BH Photo. If you live close to them. They also match BH Photo prices.

You will note that most of the responses so far are from those of us that live relatively close to the store in Fairfield, and we all have had first-hand positive experiences with Unique. That does not guarantee that you will have a positive experience. No one can do that for any store whether brick and mortar or online. However, I believe the very positive feedback you received so far should give you the confidence you need to purchase from them.

I have not mail ordered from them but purchased several times in the store. They are very good used for years by a major art center in New Jersey for a lot of years.
