I have a Nikon D7200 and also interested in these lenses. So far I'm leaning towards the Tamron as I own a few Tamron lenses and really enjoy all of them. I'll keep following this question as I trust the Hogs for the best answers. If I did go Sigma it would be the contemporary lens as its way less expensive
than the sports lens. Thats my 2 cents!
I'm going to take photos of my granddaughters lacrosse match soon. I guess I will ask permission from the parents present as I'm sure other kids will be in some of the pictures. I always too photos of her dance recitals and other kids are always in the pictures and no one ever complained or asked me to stop. If I'm asked I would always oblige. It's not worth the trouble!
I have the 18-400 Tamron lens for my Nikon 7200. It's my walking around go to lens. I love its overall performance and it's reach is great. Rent it, try it out. That will be your test.
Thank you all for the replies as I knew I would get the best info right here. When the weather warms up in New Jersey and I start taking more pics, I'll definitely look at Smugmug very seriously. Thanks again everyone!
Does anyone have any experience with the Smugmug site. A friend suggested that I use this site to store and share my photos. Basically, if you have experience with this site, is it worth the cost?
Thanks!
David
Mark,
My parents rented a bungalow every season in Bradley Beach in the early to late 60's. Thats still my go to beach. BTW, we stayed on Cliff Ave. and always walked through Ocean Grove, chains up on Sunday, to Asbury Park for rides and games. Thanks for the view!

I read an article in the Atlantic City Press years ago about a guy who went to the beach every day of the year despite any weather conditions. Now that is a hearty soul!
The Stone Pony is somehow surviving. I didn't walk into convention hall but I assume that its still in operation once we get by covid.
I took a ride to the Jersey Shore today as the weather was in the mid 40's and breezy. Here are some of my photos from Asbury Park. I welcome your comments.
Enjoy!
I have the Tamron 18-200 and the 18-400. When I travel and need to lighten my load I take the 18-200 otherwise its always the 18-400. It does it all. Good luck!
I have the same camera and I use either the Tamron 18-200 or 18-400. Both take great pics for my use! Good luck!
