Do they call it Super Bowl because of the amount hype it holds?

MacBook Pro? I’m considering the switch from Dell Windows desktop to MacBook Pro. Is the 16” a good choice?

Yes, did it in June to the M2 MacBook Pro no problems and it flies on Affinity.
Bonus is battery lasts a LOT longer than my old i7 ever did!

I have a D3400 and I prefer it over my Canon RP.
It is quicker to use and the 'Plastic' 18-55mm lens is better than the Canon 24-105 F4.7-F7.1 which I would call very ordinary. Taken 720 on D3400 and only 250 on RP this year.
Also have the 'kit' zoom tele to 300mm which I very rarely use (not this year at all).
I honestly can not tell which camera I used up to 40 x 60 cm prints. The Canon RF 50mm F/1.8 is actually the sharpest lens I have which I use if I expect to have large prints - a 90 x 120 cm allowed every one of 60 people to be easily identified at an event I photographed for the local Men's Shed.
That is my tuppence worth!

Is that a result of the historical norm that most people did not travel far at all away from the immediate community around their home, so very localized dialect and accent differences developed within rather close proximities to one another?

Yes and the downs go from sea level to about 200m (600 feet) in just a few miles.
Also us 'Poms' were just plain not interested in seeing what was over the hills!

Ahh, that is in the file viewer. not the reader itself.
You're right, some "viewers" default to "jpeg, jpg, png, ...." IMAGE files.
When that happens I change that option to select ALL FILES in that option box.
Windows Explorer is a "file viewer", but I believe it defaults to all files.

This is correct and the same with MacOS.
For Windows get Faststone viewer (Free!!) and For Mac try Lyn (small charge) OR get the Canon free software.
Early operating systems may not read raw files - Windows 10 may not read .CR2 or .CR3 Files without help.
You may have to change the file display to show file extensions like .com, .jpg or .CR3.

Worth noting MacOS and Unix/Linux can be CASE SENSITIVE, and will differentiate between .jpg and .JPG - this can cause problems when you use different operating systems!!
Got caught on that one a couple of times when trying to work with files on Linux.

Even more ridiculous is asking for it in metric. 🤣

Not really is called 19mm! and sheet size is 1200 x 1800 (nearly 4 x 6 foot in 0ld measure)
the metric sizes are actual sizes (except when it comes from China when it depends on the whim of the manufacturer and the phase of the moon).

No the VC10 was a Vickers aircraft and was quite good to fly in. Fairly quite due to rear engines. BOAC used them on the LHW to Johannesburg route in the sixty's

Note Price on SSD is $20 off if ordered with a CPU normally $139 about the same as 4GB Hard disk
as you can see not cheap prices from Scorptec scorptec.com.au
