I know that this question has been asked before so please forgive me. I need a new laptop with plenty of memory and fast. I will be using it mostly when I travel and want to work in photoshop and Lightroom. I am a cpa may use it for accounting. I will also use it to download and alter or digitize new embroidery designs. Any suggestions. I mainly use Dell in my office just a new one.
Please help
Still photography is not nearly as stressful as video work, so most mid to higher spec machines will work, but I would pay attention to the quality of the display,(P3 gamut, or equivalent), not just the resolution. 32GB RAM is desirable as is a discrete graphics card. At least 2TB SSD.. If you want Dell, go to their website and look for Photo editing /Graphics Laptops to get a sense of what is available.

Looks like you’re a windows user.
Spend the money for a Mac. You won't sorry.

We got my wife a 17" HP laptop , lighter than her old 15" Toshiba, loves the display, I could load my photo programs if I wanted, I don't see any problems using accounting programs on a machine that is up to photo standards (retiredAuditor). BTW , my wife downloads embroidery designs , doesn't alter them but does do the downloads on the machine, Good Luck, WIN 12 is forecast for JULY!

MacBook Pro? I’m considering the switch from Dell Windows desktop to MacBook Pro. Is the 16” a good choice?
Thanks, just have Dell for office, but will look.
I can't use the Mac for accounting program. I do have an old mac, but was looking to update for both accounting, photo and sewing. Thanks
Costco has some nice laptops currently on sale with very good pricing.

Can you visit Costco and window shop w/o being a member,
I prefer laptops from Lenovo. They have multiple brands with different features. My laptop that I use for photo editing is a Lenovo Think Pad extreme 1: 1 TB SSD. 32 GB RAM. Dedicated video card or GPU. Make sure whatever laptop you get has the GPU with enough RAM you need for the software you will be using.
I love my Lenovo Legion
I typically plug a couple of external 4TB solid state drives into it for photo storage. I only keep final edits on my laptop with a copy on an external hard drive.

Core, RAM, storage. Latest, most, plenty. Brand doesn't really matter.
