Subsequent to Valenta's post on Tasmania's Rack Railway (great photo by the way) I thought there might be interest in seeing a bit more of it. Please be gentle with my photos attached - they were taken in 2005 with my 1st DSLR - a Pentax *ist DS only 6MP with a soft Sigma zoom lens. All I could afford at the time! Also I knew nothing of post processing in those days. I think I used software which came with the camera. (Not much better nowadays!)

Nice shots John! Nothing to complain about your photos. I like the Engineer
Very nice and informative, John!
Loved this set, John, especially the images of the engineer tending to the engine. Very nicely done.

Fantastic set of images!!!John
Neither link would work for meπ
I googled the Rack Railway , Very interesting!! looks much safer than a cog system.
These are excellent, and interesting, photos. You, your technique, and equipment performed very well. These photos are a testament to the viability, even today, of the low MP cameras with which many of us started our digital photography journey. You should join up with the 6MP club and share your Pentax *ist DS images with other fans
