Take a look at the program "Calibre" It is free and I have used it for year converting between a variety of formats. It can also be used to maintain a library of your books.

While WKBW was almost local, I remember picking up a rock station from Acuna Mexico in the early 50's when camping out in the back yard during the summer....

Thanks… new drive is an option. I will look to purge old files, cache, etc… But, that is only a temporary ‘fix’. I am trying to resolve the issue for the long-term.

If you really want to analyze what applications are using up the space on your C: drive I suggest you get the program WinDirStat. It is a free download and it installs easily. It will take a while to execute but it can show you in a tree structure all of the sub-directories, how much disk space they occupy, the percentage of the used space taken up by this sub-directory and then continues recursively going through the whole disk.

The tree information is then presented in a neat graphical presentation with each directory being sized relative to how much space it occupies. By clicking on any block in the graphical presentation you are linked back to the tree list to see what the block represents.

My wife and I are planning a fall trip to Greece and am not finding much to see other than Crete, a few places near Thessaoniki,.....

Other than Turkey, I would consider three places that my wife and I enjoyed in that area of the Mediterranean:

(1) Santorini - We spent a week there staying on a cliff-side hotel (Astra Suites) near Oia. we rented a car and toured the whole island and found it fascinating. There were beaches to visit, new architectural digs to explore, restaurants to visit and the people were friendly. The views were unbelievable and the sunsets spectacular.

(2) Rhodes - We flew from Athens to Rhodes and then stayed in a hotel in Lindos. Although it required a car it was easy to navigate as Rhodes is not that large. There were many unique sites to see along the coast. Staying outside the main city was refreshing and meeting the locals was fun. Day tripping into Rhodes itself was easy and we located some architectural digs on the west coast. Where else could you take a donkey ride from the front door of your hotel to a local Acropolis?

(3) Cyprus - We visited Cyprus a few years before the others when we found cheap airfare and took the trip. Not knowing what to expect without planning we rented a car and spent two weeks on the island. We were limited to the southern part of Cyprus because my wife's passport had a Greek last name (from her former husband ) and we couldn't get into the Turkish part from the southern part because of the name. The photo ops ranged from little fishing villages along the coast, ancient churches in the mountains and architectural remains from when St. Peter and St. Paul walked the island. We picked various hotels from websites and they all were beautiful and the staffs, although staffed by Russians, spoke excellent English. We are thinking about going back again but covid has gotten in the way.

[quote=lamiaceae]Wow, '64. . ...two years later I was working on the Apollo flight simulator to be used by the astronauts. I had exclusive access to one of the first IBM 360/65 computers delivered to Singer/Link as we developed the simulation of the on-board computer. It was programmed in Fortran to prove the algorithms before we reprogrammed it into assembly language to go into the computer used for the simulator. ... now that I think about that, it was a long time ago....

My son came up to Syracuse from Raleigh, NC to take me to see Maverick for Fathers Day. He remembers me taking him to see the original in 1986. We both enjoyed the movie.

Not only was it a win at the tournament, but the win was his 82nd PGA win. That ties Tiger with Sam Snead for the most PGA wins in history.

Seems to be a common problem with this lens. Mine did the same thing three years ago
and it was a failed internal cable. Sent it to Canon for repair and when fixed I have not had a problem since.

I wonder when their ship date will actually arrive?

Andy

They have been shipping them out for quite a while now... like over 50000 shipped worldwide to date. They have been updating the firmware and the phone apps periodically. I got mine before December but have waited for the software to catch up with the hardware before doing extensive shooting with it. I did test the connectivity between my Canon 70D and the arsenal and it seems to work as advertised. Looks like the current ship date for orders is February 2019 per the Arsenal website.

I didn’t have my manual along on this trip (know better than to leave it home) and of course I well know that one should check the shots early in a new shoot. Longtime hobbiest, but never a professional.

I suggest that you download the manual from the manufacturer's website and save it as a pdf file on your ipad or iphone. Easy to refer to it there.

A consideration for looking at the files in Explorer: Make sure that the "file name extensions block" is checked in the View window. The added information of the extension allows one to easily see what the file type is.

If I was going to buy a device like this, I would get the Cam Ranger. It allows you to focus remotely with their phone app, the Arsenal doesn’t focus.

I have one on order (due to be shipped next week)

If you want to see what its capabilities are you should download the Arsenal app from the app store for IOS or android and use the demo mode (without an Arsenal hardware attached).
It sure seems like you can control the focus using the app.

[quote=11bravo]I no longer trust WD's (well, maybe their blacks for the OS), and while I do use Seagate and Toshiba 3.5 HDD's, it's not for anything important. Anything important goes on an HGST.

You might want to check out the fact that HGST is a subsidiary of Western Digital.
