I took Adorama up on the same deal in November. Great printer, weighs 40 lbs, and takes up some desk space. Set up and Wi-Fi instructions are simple and get the job done quickly. I've not printed much yet but I'm ramping up. So far - perfect. Also the AMEX rebate card is handy.

I've become very fond of the DX 35 mm 1.8 on my 7100. Like many primes it is light and fast.

My wife and I visited an exhibit of China's Terre Cotta Wariors at the venerable Field Museum in Chicago. Abundant signs cautioned: "Pictures allowed, NO Flash". I set my 7100 to no flash and starting taking pictures only to be visited by the security guard cautioning that flash were not allowed. The flash did not pop up and I couldn't understand what disturbed the guard until it dawned on me that she saw the focus assist light. I failed to convince her that the light was not a flash and not as bright as some of the display's pin spots. Such exhibits are often dimly lit for effect and this one was typical. So I proceeded with hi ISO, slow as I could handhold, and as Low Aperture as I could get away with (35 mm 1.8 - Prime) still the Focus assist came on. I wanted to get some pictures of the 2300 yo objects but I was desperate with visions of being escorted out of the museum. Then: Voila! Epiphany - Manual Focus. Not exactly fun day in low light but it worked for most pics (83 yo eyes a limiting factor) and Focus Assist was absent.

The lesson: Beware of exhibit security guards on a mission.

If you have the chance don't miss this traveling exhibit of one of the greatest archeological finds of all time; a great learning experience.... in several ways. And congratulations to the Chinese for lending their national to leave the country.

Marvelous detail, especially handheld. At the moment 200 mm is the my FL limit on a APC but I will try renting longer. I use Mirror up and remote shutter but I still am not getting the detail you achieve. I'll keep trying.

Nice pictures.

Note: I think Masada was attacked 2000 years ago by Roman troops, the Crusaders appeared 1000 years later.

I had some good luck with exposure starting with the "sunny sixteen" rule. F16, ISO 400, 1/200. Also MirrorUp and remote helps. I kept increasing shutter speed until the little bright white blob in the viewer became darker and showed some moon detail. Otherwise, the image would have been completely blown out and featureless. I used a Nikon 200 mm lens on a d7100.

When I take Kid's pictures I always ask an accompanying adult or parent first and 30% of the time they say, "No". But for the other 70 % I make it a habit to immediately show the picture(s)to the parent, coach, and ask if they approve. Rarely they do not; but if they do - DEL.

Tinted bus windows detracted from my shots @DM. However the bus stopped at certain spots and the pictures were better. Sobering to reflect on the $$$ spent on all the hardware and how much is obsolete from current technology. A must see if in Tucson area.

Just got Neewer ring light/flash for Nikon. I used it recently for close-ups of pins and very old Christmas ornaments. The light kit is a bargain and works very well for my purposes. I can easily recommend it.

Before you decide take a look at the new Epson EcoTank models. Instead of individual ink cartridges with and a set of nozzles, the ET has 4 large ink tanks the feed into one set of nozzles. Epson claims huge savings in refill inks. So far only 4 colors.

Very nice shots. I've spent some time at Pt Loma as my son lives at Liberty Station, the former Naval Training Center. I particularly enjoyed the ND seaside shot.

I became fascinated with the Rosecrans cemetery and the symmetry of the crosses and the hills and in some of my shots incoming fog. I got carried away and took hundreds of shots.

On one trip we went whale hunting and discovered many gray whales just off the tip of Point Loma migrating to the Baja

We are planning another trip to visit in 2016. Much interesting history in the area and photo Ops.

I was a B&S believer until last two mowers. Engine started easily when cold but not when hot. Weary of letting mower set for an hour before it could be re-started, I got rid of it and bought Honda with twin blade mulch system and a fuel cut-off valve. The Honda is the best mower and engine I have ever used. The tip-up drain does the job and doesn't require mopping up. Yearly replace spark plug, air filter, and synthetic oil. I have Honda generator and it too starts on first pull after 15 years. I am a believer but drive 2 Buicks.
