Good God, Mr. Speight...you should try the area between Southern Cal from say, the areas near Riverside to the Arizona border on the freeway, or about anywhere off I-84 and the areas from Multnomah County and the places into Hood River. These were just lovely places to see, lack of people notwithstanding. Do they even realize that the windmill farm blades wear out and they are now in huge areas where they haven't even determined how to deal with landfill in this mess? God Bless you and hope that somehow modern America gets their act together.

I have three cats and one dog, all of them are characters. Worth smiling about! Congrats to your upcoming docility!

I just don't shoot that much film. I use Portra 160 most of the time, and yes, "sparingly." My last real shooting was back in the early 1990s, when I visited Montreal and Quebec City. I had bought a second-hand Nikon F4S which worked swimmingly considering that I lacked any kind of instruction manual and used auto settings for much of my shooting.

Nothing is truly usable forever. Digital even so. Film degrades if left in poor conditions, but if in a cool spot with good quality coverage, it's been great. I have slides from Kodachrome 25 that are at least forty years old and still look great. Those were the days.

I still run CD's through my 2007 Jaguar, and my late lady friend used them in her 2012 Lexus GX. Go figure. It's the platform I've used for a long time, both cars had reasonably good sound.

Thanks Steve

And to think that these images you considered not as nice as these came out!? Very good shots!

I love both cats and dogs, mostly of dogs in my past, and cats recently. The cats are all fairly young, the oldest about six. I am fairly old too, 64, and the cats are surely good for a little levity. We will all lose our critters, it hurts, though there can always be another, if fewer.

May God Bless you and keep you.

How cute. You are in Canada, yes? Not familiar with Indian Hills. God Bless.

Only time I've been on 97 was in sunshine! I worked in Oregon for better part of 10 years doing commercial risk control evaluation, Crater Lake is quite something, first time I'd been there. You will be done with the snow in May, probably. God Bless.

John, that photo is as neat as a pin. Does not look like any kind of deterioration of your buildings AT ALL though the more distant building appears to be equal in every way. The grounds as well. Lovely.

Driving in Arizona deserts in the spring can be dangerous to your arrival to your destination! The roadsides are full of spring flowers - mostly lupine and poppies. All of the images below were shot within a couple of miles of my house along the newly opened SR 24. These flowers started blooming in late January, and after the recent rains are simply wild! Took about 100 images within 1/2 hour! I almost OD'd on colour.

My gosh, those photos are lovely. Now of course, I'm in the northern portion of AZ, not the southern, though I was born in Florence when my dad had finished with the USA and USAF and started dentistry. This would be circa 1956 or so, I sprouted in 1958.

Those photos were not Photoshopped, or anything resembling alteration? Lovely all the same! I suppose I should really purchase a decent digital camera with interchangeable lenses and pay a fortune. At this point though I am still using film, generally 35mm Portra 160. I have very good 35mm equipment bought for cents on a dollar, so there you are )))

Dear God, this has become a rather poignant and fast downturn for Mr. Willis, who gave us so much fun and joy in his films. I hope that he is resting comfortably with his family and friends. God Bless him.

Were you using Neilson frames or a copy of them? Personally, I like plain black wooden frames because they help isolate the photos from the wall and a window matt helps contain the eye.

Personally "M1911," I like plain figured walnut on my sidearm. ))
