Very happy that this has worked out for you but what a shame that we can no longer trust the employees of mail moving companies. I had a DVD shipped from Netflix stolen and had to report it to Netflix. Netflix sent a replacement but I wonder how many more will be stolen?

I have seen posts questioning different companies and some complaints about customer service at various places. I want to recognize the customer service at MPB and in particular an employee named Sloane. I had agreed to sell them a lens at what I considered a fair price, but had never done business with them before. I shipped the lens through Fed Ex using their provided shipping label. They registered the package as received but then a few days later got notified that the lens wasn't in the package. I called and wound speaking to Sloane who sent photos of the package and its contents (miscellaneous things I hadn't seen before) but we discussed that the package had different tape on it and he investigated that somehow the package had been all over the country. He said he would file a claim with Fed Ex but then notified me that the site was down (a Friday) and he would try again on Monday. He let me know that he was able to file the claim on Monday and it usually took a week for them to act on it. He kept me informed throughout the process and then notified me that the deposit was being made for the full value we had agreed on, $700.00.

I would not hesitate to use them in future and added them to my list along with B&H and Adorama as my own approved vendors.

Was just in new york and went to a museum called Photographica which had a whole floor for her story and photography. One of the best exhibits I've seen.

In live view, when I rotate my camera the image remains in the correct orientation - so, the lcd view is the same as with my eyes. What happens when you rotate your camera in live view?

It does now but i SWEAR it didn't before!! I must have come across the correct thing when playing with the menus.

Sorry Everyone!

I know how to do it when reviewing photos, but I am talking about while composing a photo? I've been through the menus and google and can't find the topic addressed at all.

Again I am talking about when composing the photo (not a video) not when reviewing a photo already taken.

Yesterday I attempted to use the
Focus Stacking option on my D850 and I got a message that said
NOT AVALIABLE IN CAMERAS CURRENT SETTINGS
I changed some settings but still got the message.
Are there special settings when you are going to use Focus Stacking?
Any suggestions
Thanks

You can't have the shutter set for a timed release - took me a while to figure it out.

Ok. This sounds better. You need to shoot in manual at f/2.8 and 1/1,000 shutter speed. Set the ISO for Auto ISO and let it float to whatever the lighting demands. Get yourself a 135mm Sigma Art lens or the 85mm Art lens so you won't have to do much cropping. I never was satisified with the 70-200 zoom lens indoors because as soon as you zoom out, you have lost your f/2.8 setting.

It's a few bucks, but hey, these are grandkids so spend the money. You got the rest of your life to pay back the loan, but the kids are growing and they won't wait. I'm one of those irresponsible papas that does not care what it costs to get the shot. :))
Ok. This sounds better. You need to shoot in man... (show quote)

The 79-200 is a constant 2.8 so I don't lose it. I have a 85 prim but it didn't work in this instanc because I couldn't be under the basket due to th size of the gym and couldn't run the sideline due to other spectators. I'd have the same problem with 135, no way to zoom with my feet. I probably should have tried a faster ss with the higher iso and lived with the additional noise

Your heart is in it. But you are in dire need of an f/1.8 or faster lens and a full frame camera. Shutter speed could be 1/1,000 to freeze the action. Any you need the faster lens for more light. These are a tad bit dim and off color. The color balance could be due to the halogen lighting and there's not much you can do about that.

Shot with a nikon 850 (full frame) and 70-200 2.8 but at 1/640 f4 and auto iso around 2000. Actually they look significantly better on computer scree. Should have loaded full size instead of small jpeg. This is now large as it won't allow actual size.

Lots of interesting points in this discussion. I wanted to try out my RP at a high school basketball game earlier this year. I was more interested in experimenting with video, but here are some examples of what to expect from shots from the stands. I think with your f 2.8 lens you are better equipped for this than I am. I shot mostly at 200th of a second but in the future will go higher ISO and maybe 500th for stills.

Here's some of what I got yesterday

Shooting my grandson for the first time Saturday with nikon 850. Not sure whether to use group focus as they're only 4th graders.
