MPB

I have seen posts questioning different companies and some complaints about customer service at various places. I want to recognize the customer service at MPB and in particular an employee named Sloane. I had agreed to sell them a lens at what I considered a fair price, but had never done business with them before. I shipped the lens through Fed Ex using their provided shipping label. They registered the package as received but then a few days later got notified that the lens wasn't in the package. I called and wound speaking to Sloane who sent photos of the package and its contents (miscellaneous things I hadn't seen before) but we discussed that the package had different tape on it and he investigated that somehow the package had been all over the country. He said he would file a claim with Fed Ex but then notified me that the site was down (a Friday) and he would try again on Monday. He let me know that he was able to file the claim on Monday and it usually took a week for them to act on it. He kept me informed throughout the process and then notified me that the deposit was being made for the full value we had agreed on, $700.00.

I would not hesitate to use them in future and added them to my list along with B&H and Adorama as my own approved vendors.

Very happy that this has worked out for you but what a shame that we can no longer trust the employees of mail moving companies. I had a DVD shipped from Netflix stolen and had to report it to Netflix. Netflix sent a replacement but I wonder how many more will be stolen?

I had the same problem sending equipment for sale to KEH via Prepaid from FEDEX
Items were taken from the box.
KEH investigated the shipment was vandalized and KEH made good also great company to deal with.
Going forward I have UPS pack and weigh.

WOW!!! A DVD - that's a blast from the past. Didn't know Netflix still dealt in DVDs.

Have used mpb numerous times mostly to buy cameras and lenses but occasionally to sell. Most often their condition ratings are conservative. They seem to have excellent inventory and fair prices. The photos on the website are the actual inventory item which I find very helpful. I heartily recommend them.

I've never purchased any camera equipment online until last year. I upgraded to a used Nikon D7000 camera. It was from MPB and is in immaculate condition. It came with a battery, charger, cable and the original packaging and manuals. However, the English version was not included. I purchased an excellent used David Busch book from Thrift Books, which is better and better written then the Nikon manual. The Nikon manual is only available to download from Nikon, and at over several hundred pages was not reasonable. I am very happy with both MPB and Thrift Books.

Yes, they do. I still have the delivery service but it the post office doesn't quit stealing them I may have to discontinue it.

I'm an MPB fan. I've bought and sold to them with no problems.
